odds question (top 10)

Had DJ for top 10 and he came 3way tied for 9... anyway bet was supposed to pay 30 profit off of 40.50 wager (-135) but got 6.50 profit back because of the tie.

To me this is little low but I guess they have a formula for such occasions. Anyone dealt with this?

you got screwed. ties count all books in Las Vegas for "over/unders" tied for 9th IS in the Top 10. I would question your sportbook
