That was pretty disgusting on a couple of counts. Toe-Boy did a great job on that tape job after cutting the toe out of his shoe. I did get a look at it on the telecast once close up and it looked like a tape job they do over football players shoes when they have an ankle sprain. But it covered over the toe cap. Not sure if he thought of that himself or they did it in the medical trailer. But it was a stroke of genius.
It didn't help that Rose hacked it around and putted like a blind jackass. But give Johnson credit for fighting through it and putting very well from mid-range. Seemed like every time Rose had a chance to make a move, Toe-Boy rolled in another huge putt to put another nail in the coffin.
Time to get that back tomorrow and it will be wet again to start the round.

For Friday, my attempt to recoup Thursday's mess is:
Carl Pettersson (+103) over Jonathon Byrd -- Risking 10 units.
I can't ignore Pettersson's ability to putt from long range. While Byrd played well today, he did struggle on a few putts. So I will take my chances with Pettersson's putter.
As the fairways are so wide and greens so big, I noticed the average distance from the pin for all players is in the 30' to 40' range. I feel Pettersson has an advantage over Byrd here.
Robert Garrigus (+120) over Stuart Appleby -- Risking 2 units
Garrigus is an interesting character. I saw him in an interview after his round talking about how he just got out of a dry-out clinic. He seems to be in a great frame of mind however. He is certainly happy about how the course sets up for his game playing long and wide off the tee box and he said he loved "the greens the size of Walmarts". As the course will likely play soft again tomorrow, I like his distinct length advantage over Appleby.
Stuart played nicely today and he does have the three wins in the past. But something tells me he might run into some putting problems in the next few days. He found out someone stole his putter about an hour before his tee time today. From PGA Tour.com...
"He’s three shots back despite having to switch to a Callaway 2-Ball
putter after his regular putter was stolen. Appleby found out about an
hour before he teed off and got the 2-Ball from the teaching facility at
Kapalua."
I will take a poke at this dog play with Garrigus' length and Appleby having to adjust to whatever putter he might be using tomorrow.

no one gives a damn about ur plays with ur unlimited bankroll,
just post no more bs units, if ur unloading multiple accounts of golf one day matchups u need help...
Amen; I enjoy reading the write-ups and picks from all so that I can decipher what I agree with and what I don't. But, the ridiculous unit BS is annoying to read. Not to mention, if you're really betting 10 units on some picks and 1 unit on others; you're a losing player for sure.
They do it hoping to get lucky and boost their image. Personally, I don't give a fuck how many units you're up. I want to know how many winners you pick and I'll manage my own money.
But, with that being said; thanks to all that do take the time to post their picks with write-ups.

Unbelievable how could that happen when would the bag have been away from him or his caddy. It's not like a ski slope where he is in the lodge for 1/2hr having lunch it's hard to imagine how he and his caddy had a bathroom break at the same time.Golf tourneys have pretty good security around the range and putting greens. The one club that is pretty much unreplaceable bad luck ! The caddy must be keeping his head down I bet Stuart is pissed, but he is a dangerous fade on this golf course where he has won 3 times.
