i just put $ on the chiefs. eagles looks suspect to me. their defense cant stop anybody. i dont see them stopping the chiefs. there offense is explosive but if the chiefs can cut the number of big plays it will slow down the eagles offense.

Chip Kelly can't manage a game to save his life, and the Philly D is horrendous.  Can't even stop a bad west coast team at home.

Chip won't have his squad prepared for a short week.  Reid will have a defensive game plan, and pound the rock down their throats keeping the eagles offensive unit on the bench, control the clock, and put fresh legs out there to stop the eagles offense.

So I'm taking KC +3 right?  No thanks.  Keep the 3 points.  KC wins SU.  I'll take the road dog moneyline for +money.

Philly was 0-7-1 ATS last year at home and so far this year 0-1-0 thanks to San Diego.  So, I'll take KC plus the points.

Gotta like the Eagles here.  They'll be fired up with Reid coming to town.  Eating the points and betting on Vick to get that O going again at home.

I think defense wins games.  The Eagles fast pace offense can be stopped eventually.  The Chief's defense can stop Philly's offense.  Their offense can keep up with Kelly's offense.

Chip Kelly didn't just bring the no-huddle spread offense to Philly...he brought a PAC 10 defense with him too. In week 1, the Redskins didn't expose this defense till the 2nd half in garbage time when it was too late. As we now know, the Redskins are offensively challenged, and will continue to be untill RG III takes the training wheels off. The Chargers, on the other hand, exposed this defense for a full 60 minutes. And the result was an embarassing loss. Phillip Rivers had ALL DAY to throw the ball, and completed 36/47 passes for over 400 yards and 3 touchdowns. More concerning for the Eagles is that they didn't pick off Rivers once. No disrespect to Rivers, but the guy is usually good for at least a fumble or a pick on the road. 

From a situational angle, the eagles playing in back-to-back home games, eagles coming off a loss, short week, eagles only laying 3 with 50-50 split for the public.....normally this is a great spot to lay 3 points on the home fav. I don't think it's possible for the eagles defensive line to play any worse...right? Unfortunately, Chip Kelly's "sport science" that we here so much about isn't going to turn around a horrible no-name defense around in 3 days. Aside from Trent Cole, Dameco Ryans, and Patrick Chung, I seriously can't name one other starter on the Eagle's defense. I expect them to play better under the lights with a national audience, but I am afraid KC might want to win this one for the Gipper pretty bad. Leaning KC, but haven't made up my mind yet.

I know that the final score is what matters, but here are some numbers from this game that I found interesting.  The Chargers had the ball for over 40 minutes and put up almost 540 yards of O.  The flip side of this is that the Eagles had the ball for less than 20 minutes and put 510 yards of O, kind of scary if you ask me.  Yeah, the Eagles D should have made some stops but maybe the Eagles O should have slowed tempo at times.  I think it's a work in progress.  I personally like the Eagles in this one laying the 3 at home coming off the home loss.  I think they'll be focused.  Just my opinion, GLTA.

Before the season started I had doubts whether the Eagles would be able to maintain the fast pace offense and I still do.So,having to play on a short week against a fresher defense,I can't help but see a few turnovers and too many penalties on a tired offense....KC on the M/L
