The Lakers roll here esp after Utah won game two in Houston, the Lakers dont want them resting up after winning that series.

I'm all about the home favs today.  Lakers still own the Nuggets.  They play better defense and are even better than the Nugs at the run and gun style that DEN thrives on.  Lakers still haven't lost to the nuggets and may pull a sweep.  I expect Denver to win one at home, but that's their only chance to avoid the sweep because they are garbage away.  They may come out strong again in this one, so I'm staying away from the 1st half, but there's no way the lake show doesn't win by double digits again.

Oh yeah and btw, gg, i saw how you went running to Fish's spot and posted my responses on the threads to your hating posts, in an attempt to recruit him to be your bodyguard/thug. You are truly spineless to say the least. 
 
Now Fish, go ahead and erase the posts by GG, as you really don't want anyone on the threads to see the types of communication you two are doing. GG you should spend more time learning how to handicap and less time hating. Having a woman beat you two at your own game is really starting to get under your collective skins I see.

good info on the Kleiza thing swoles... you're right, Carter is worthless... I laughed my ass off watching him trying to guard Kobe.  You're making me second guess myself at least, but I still see this game winding up in a convincing laker victory, we're just way too good for the nuggets and we are a much more disciplined/well rounded team.  Also we can see them at every offensive strong point, we have at least 3 guys who can shoot the 3 ball on the court at just about any time, which counteracts their sharpshooters, plus we have better down low presence with gasol and lamar two guys who can post up or take it off the dribble and work for a good close shot.  Plus despite the closeness in records, I really feel that the lakers are the class of the west, looking at how they have the best record despite the plethora of injuries we've faced all year.  I may just buy the game down a bit, but I can't justify taking the nuggets on the road, where i have made good money fading them all year.

Lakers -5 (I'll probably buy it down to 5 just in case)

if anything i may take DEN 1st half again, but lakers game for sure.

oh no shit?  did memphis just run zone on us all game?  I caught little bits of the tail end while I was at work.  Damn though... From what I remember, Memphis ALWAYS gives us a hard time at home, so I'm still not convinced that Denver will win, but keeping it within 8 does seem unfortunately possible.  Man I may sit this one or just throw some skrill at that moneyline.  Keep me posted though swoles.

I cannot back the Nuggets in this regardless of what Karl tries to do defensively.  You don't turn into a good defensive team overnight, I'm sorry George.  You should've rectified this bullshit weeks, maybe even months ago. 
 
Kobe played a solid 4th quarter after Kenyon Martin started talking smack to him at the free throw line and I expect he puts in a much better game offensively tonight.  Until the Nuggets prove they can hang with the Lakers (cover a point spread) I will continue to play the Lakers.  The streak of ATS covers now sits at 5 and this one is certainly doable. The Lakers earned home court advantage and I expect they will defend it appropriately. 
 
Denver at home may prove to be a little more profitable for Nuggets backers ATS wise.

Also, when you are 30th ranked defence and you are playing against 2 of the arguably the most talented offensive weapons in the league with a very solid supporting cast that can beat you inside and out...well, as they would say, you are up shit creek without a paddle...
 
I've said this before and I'll say it again.
The Nuggets are pretenders and in that same raft that is sinking they are accompanied by the Houston Rockets.

the way denver played las game was just ridiculous......but thats how they play.....all offense....no defense.....LA will cover the spread yet again...just like the last 4 times they have played this year......but the total will go under this time for 1 reason.......last game denver gave up too many easy baskets becuz they didnt play ZONE DEFENSE......for those of u who dont know what that means ill break it down 4 u......denver is ranked 29th in da nba in scoring defense.....but it dont matter how sorry your defense is....if u play zone D.....it forces opponents the take more perimeter shots instead of easy lay-ups.....i look for denver to play more ZONE.....thats the only way they will slow LA down......not stop them (becuz they cant)but slow them down......LA AND UNDER IS DA PICK

I'm waiting to see what their plays are first on this one. Otherwise it's a no play for me. As stated no play from me just yet on this one, but so far, I like the under in this matchup. With a zone, Camby and Kenyon will be forced to stay at home. Without Nene being 100% Denver is soft in the middle, and when one of your low post defenders is about the same height as Kobe(Kenyon) that would spell trouble as the Lakers can pretty much get to thte hole whenever they want to. Of course with a zone, it delays the offensive set a few seconds too both ways as it takes a little longer to get set up even when forcing a turnover, and it takes a few more passes to get an open shot.
 
As far as a side is concerned, I actually think that Denver keeps it close. I had originally thought of teasing the Pistons/Hawks/Nuggets, but i am not too hot about that right now and I am laying off of that one.
 
As far as a side is concerned, I have a lean towards Denver+ the points. But as i have stated I am not making a play yet, and i doubt seriously if i do. I may wait until the clubs get to Mile High and rock Denver then.
 
BTW the green lines are performance meter bars. Congratualtions, you're doing just fine

The Lakers are the much better team here. The Lakers have beat the Nuggets 5 times this year and covered the spread each time. In the last 9 meetings in LA, the Lakers are 8-1 SU and ATS against the Nuggets.
 
The Nuggets have no answer for Pau Gasol. He should put up similar numbers to what he did in game 1(36 points and 16 rebounds). In Game 1, Kobe only shot 9-26 and the Lakers were still able to dominate the game and win by 14 points. Kobe's shooting % will be higher tonight as we see another blowout game.
 
I have 3 units on this play.

The performance meter/green bars really have nothing to do with how good your picks are.  They show how active you have  been in the forums recently.  The more posts you have recently the more green bars you have under your name.  Its in the manifesto.



Still backing the Lakers in this one, I cant play against a very hot team at home against a team that doesnt play a lick of defense.
