Game 3 definitely showed me this series is all but done... Celts D is too much for L.A.... Kobe has been contained very well, and without any other viable threats on offense they are simply overmatched...

 

i'll be on Celts and the ML again in games 4 and 5...

From what I've seen, the Lakers have played 3 shitty games because the Celtics are a far superior defensive team and they have enough offensive firepower to handle them.  No way in hell will the Lakers put up 110 to 120 points in a game IMO.  How can they?  Kobe scores 70?  Fisher isn't scoring.  Odom isn't scoring.  Pau looks scared of KG/Perk.  Only guys on the Lakers that have even the slightest ability to put up points is Kobe and Vujacic.

Boston's defense is better than the Lakers offense.  Boston's offense is exposing key areas of the Lakers defense.

I agree Boston takes one of these games.............which one?? and might the ML drop to much lower to where it's not worth it to plan to go after it for each game??

and by the way, that odom charged sucked.......still came out to the good on the night but had a few parlez's w/ la bought down to -7.5.   lost by 6.

The refs equalized the call discrepancy from games 1and 2 with a bunch of touch calls that didn't warrant a whistle,this isn't Europe even though with all those box Europieans on the Lakers it sure looks it.What is this the NHL???
    Now to get down to it,did it look like Paul Priece was trying to throw that game in the last 4 or 5 minutes?If anybody TIVOED that game watch it again and you'll see what i'm talking about.It looked like he was trying to make the Lakers cover.
    On the other hand there is no way that the Celtics should've of been within 20 points of the Lakers shooting 30% cut it out.There defense stymied the Lakers and will do it again tomorrow with an outright win.Good luck

I hope you're right Hommie. I really do. Now I cashed in on that last game, and BIG. This game I will be a little more reserved on. But I already LOADED up (and I mean LOADED UP) on the Celtics -110 for the Series. That last win by the Lakers did just what I wanted it to, brought the ML for the Series from -160 to -110. I suggest you get all you can on that ASAP! It's FREE MONEY! Now if the Lakers do win this next game.... OMG! I will take out a loan, mortage the house, hock the wife and kids, fly to Vegas and put my ass on the Series ML in the Celts Favor. That is FREE MONEY. Only 3 teams in the history of NBA have ever come back from a 0-2 deficit and won. The Lakers WILL NOT be the 4th. Not this year.

Now as far as the Lakers Breaking out and scoring 110+ points in game 4... Lets just say I just have a "notion" that they are due. The series gets tied up 2-2, then the "Infamous Pivitol Game 5" happens (which the Celtics win), and then back to Boston for the Kill in game 6. Just remember you didn't hear that from me, but.... You heard it here first when it happens

Hmmm, hey fellaz just my opinion but as of right now, the celtics know they are not that well playing on the road, so they can not afford to lose anymore games, and YES im sure they want to win it at home, so in game 4 they are going to come out and try to win this so they can be up a game and and not worry too much about game 5. I can see them loosing game 5 and taking back home to win it in game 6 or game 7. So that being said, i think this game will either be won by the Lakers, BUT in a close one by 6 or Celtics winning outright.

Going with the Lakers to cover for the 1st time this series.  Lakers -8.

Expect a faster Higher scoring game after that shabby, sluggish Game 3, featuring enough air balls and air-headed plays for seven games. It was a pathetic performance by BOTH teams.  Missed easy dunks by the Celtics, 13 missed free throws by the Lakers, Celtics with a 35% shooting performance, Sloppiness, Jet lag, etc, etc, etc. Let me quote Doc Rivers, "This was the first game that I had four or five different players during the game signal to pull them out," he said. "I had to blow a timeout, one that I didn't want to use late. I thought it was a very tough turnaround and I think rest is very important."

I am thinking this will be one if not THE ONLY ONE game that goes over the 191.5. Besides, the over in this match-up is the Norm. 3 out of 4 in the Past 3 seasons.

i have a very strong feeling that boston will cover or win, and under 191.5.

I just expect KG and Pierce to step it up this time, and also, play D. It's just they bounce back after such a disappointing performance. After all, they won in detroit, closed it out. I'm sure they'd want the advantage at home and would want to close it at home in game 5.

boston wins this game, goes up 3-1, just watch what I say will happen. Game 5, spread will dramatically shift to something like lakers -2.5, sending betting crowds into a dilema: take lakers with value line -2.5? Or go with overvalued boston after hammering L.A. on game 4?

Garnett and Pierce had terrible games, and I don't expect them to play like that again.  At the same time, I also expect Odom and Gasol to play a lot better in Game 4.

Lakers win Game 4, and we are down to a 3 game series.  Anything can happen.  Just ask Donaghy.

Well, from what I saw it does not look good for the Lakers.  They were at home in the Staples Center down 0-2.  Fans fired up.  Eddie Murphy, Jack Nicholas, Spike Lee and others there to cheer and pump them up and what?

They couldnt pull away from the Celtics on their home floor.  In fact the Celtics had a late 4th Q lead.  This is NOT the Lakers year.  Next year could be.  They are playing without the Bynum beast.  Kobe can at any time strap a team on his back and take them home.  But can he do it for the remaining games each game?  Hell no.  They are fast but lack presence in the paint. 

I cant call when exactly the Celts will put this away, but I am gonna lay some SERIOUS cash on the Celts for the series.   The Lakers just dont have the horses boyz and girlz....and they showed that on their home floor.

I know this hurts a lot of Lakers fans' feelings.  But as I said in a previous post, a fan and his/her money is soon and easily parted.  If you watch this objectively, the Lakers are not up to the task.  Do they have heart.......YUP.  They just done have the horses to match the heart.

rekamyenom......I agree with you mayun.  I am gonna put some serious bank on the Celts for the series soon as my book opens up tomorrow.  That is the easiest money I will make this year.
