as for the individual who said that the phils have better pitching than the dodgers, wow, you are tripping. I know the phils have the "sexier" rotation, sure a cy young winner, a MVP/championship lefty with some big postseason games under his belt (hamels), the young lefty with the breakout season (happ), the old dominant cy young winner on the downside of his career (pedro), and blanton and moyer with their own experience, but kershaw had a lower ERA than the phillies best in happ (2.79 vs. 2.93), randy wolf had a 3.23 to go punch for punch with cliff lee at 3.22, meanwhile hamels and blanton are upwards of 4, and pedro didn't even pitch a full season. The dodgers fire back against their last 3 with kuroda (maybe) quite possibly the dodgers best pitcher when healthy, garland (who has his own world series ring from a run that included a postseason complete game and a couple of other quality starts. Padilla (along with wolf, a former phillie) who has the propensity to pitch big when noone expects him to do anything and they probably won't need more than 4 so the drop the perceived weakest arm from both rotations.
and so now that i've supported my claim that the phillies are no better off in the rotation, i sure hope you don't seriously think they have a better bullpen than the dodgers... that being the stastically best in baseball.
key factors here...
-this is a revenge series for the dodgers just as it was a revenge series for the phils when they beat the rockies
-dodgers hit lefties well (ie lee, hamels happ)
-instead of missing beimel this year, the dodgers now have kuo and sherril, a pair of flame throwing lefties to toss at the 3-4-..-6 of that phillie line up.
-dodgers had the best runs for per runs against margin at +162 (phillies +111)
-dodgers line up is much closer in terms of over all hitting ability to the phils, especially when you consider that the dodgers play in a park that is not nearly as hitter friendly as citizens bank...
anyways, i have more but i'm tired.

I like the Dodgers to win this series, but not with ease, each game will be close and I think the Dodgers win the series in game 6 or game 7, as for tonights game I do like the over 7.5 for sure, and I do think the Dodgers will win, but I think i'll pass on this game for the side considering that Hamels is pitching, just sticking with the over 7.5 for this one, good luck to everyone

Hamels holds an impressive record against the Dodgers, that is pre and post Manny-wood and with the hitters to boot should be a good bet. But there is on major problem..that is their achilles heal...The Bullpen..Eyre is questionable and we all know that Lidge is on path for a Papelbon-like meltdown somewhere within this series which should end their campaign for a double.. Kershaw has the goods to limit the hits and runs, although he requires to many pitches to get through 5 innings let alone a "playoff 7".However he has the superior pen in this matchup which should see the Dodgers rallying to not only take the opener but the series in 6..Perhaps making it an eerily sounding Torre vs Yankee WS..Yikes!! Til` then, going an unorthodox play for moir and taking PHILLIES-5th Inning________+115 BOLA
