porcello may have a higher upside, but baker is the better pitcher at this point in their respective careers. Porcello has frequently struggled to avoid the big inning in the second half whereas baker has stepped his game up, getting better as the season progressed. Remember this is more innings than porcello has ever pitched in his young career and when young pitchers set new career highs in innings pitched and pitches thrown, they are more prone to wearing out late. I'd absolutely have to take the team with the momentum and the pitcher who's throwing better and has more experience.

Detroit just tanked towards the end of the season.  They deserve to loose and i hope they do.

Porcello has the goods to get the win but his relief is a major concern....Tigers have faded and all the momentum is with the Twins who should win,however I cannot follow a streak `til the end...Agreeing with our "Father G" and opting  for the safer option.

This is a tuff one,but twin's are 7-2 @ home this year against detroit.I pounded the viking's last night.I'm going to stick with minnesota.

Quite right Mr.Bphinn, Piss poor Tiger Pen may seal their fate n' perhaps Miggy will find it easier venting frustration on bola than casa esposa. Nothing to lose,runs may be a plenty.
Whether under safe seclusion ,below the Golden Gate or hibernating in Quebec,can't opt for mutated " G " 's pick.
Last  5 one game tiebreakers since 95 ,Home team is 4-1
Porcello's  last 2 in Baggy Dome 0 - 2  6.30 ERA.
Twins have'nt missed a beat since Morneau's injury...

yea i just can't imagine the tigers team enjoying there number 4 hitter cabrera in the news regarding a domestic disturbance at his home. media also added for good measure that he was bombed at the time of incident. bad attention is good for twins backers. small play to start my week lets go twins...........gl folks

Call me a sucker, but I feel that the Det+1.5 RL might have the best value at -145.  Bullpen scares me, but I just have a gut feeling about this one. GLTA

Boys the Twinkies have had their way with my Tigers for too long it all ends today the kid pitches a great game and shuts them out.  Porcello has got great stuff with heat on it when he wants.  Tigers have won all their must games in the last few weeks.  Now i have been a Tiger fan since 1968 so a little bit of a homer pick but like i said the Twinkies reign on my Tigers ends today.
