Super Bowl Prediction - Summary of Picks

We have a total of 47 predictions.  A few players posted after the deadline, sorry to say but rules are rules.

Packers vs. Patriots (in any result) is by far the most popular matchup, taking 28 of the 47 predictions.

A total of 11 different teams were predicted to win, and a total of 10 different teams were predicted to lose.

A total of 7 different teams made the cut as win-or-lose only picks:

Baltimore

Carolina

Dallas

NY Giants

NY Jets

Philadelphia

Pittsburgh

Surprisingly, Seattle and Indianapolis were left out of this contest.

The winning conference is split 28-19 in favor of the NFC.

I will keep an accounting of the Super Bowl prediction results on this thread as we move into the end of the season.

With the conclusion of the regular season, here's where we stand:

32 players still have two live teams in contention.

13 players have one live team.

2 players have lost both teams and are eliminated.

Updates will be posted as we advance through the postseason, good luck to those who still have horses in this race

After Wildcard weekend (and the spectacular Bengals implosion)

27 players have two live teams.

15 players have one live team.

5 players have lost both teams.

And nobody has Kansas City or Seattle...

Not sure where I came up with this number  only 19 players have this matchup.

After Divisional Weekend here's where things stand:

Only 3 players still have two live teams (ARZ v. NE)

32 players have one live team. 

12 players have lost both teams.

Four players are still alive heading into the Super Bowl:

PDom - Carolina wins 31-30

BatteryMann - Denver wins 35-31

Just to clarify tiebreakers after either a Panthers or Broncos win:

First tiebreaker is the closest prediction to the final game point total without exceeding it. 

If both player predictions exceed the final game total, we advance to the second tiebreaker:

Second tiebreaker is the closest prediction to the final point spread / margin of victory without exceeding it.
