All you can eat pasta is a privilege. However voting rights are basic to functional democracy. All investigations found that voting fraud is so rare that it has never determined the outcome of any major election in US history. So why try to fix a non-existing problem with unnecessary restrictions? SAVE law is more likely to suppress voters instead of improving democracy.

I think it’s because they don’t want people to vote. The SAVE act is strictly to reduce the number of people to vote down to those who have passports. They call it photo ID, but the only photo ID that will cut it is a passport. It’s absurd and dumb, but then again that’s how these liars operate.

Los Angeles times report that Trump justice department claims 20,000 unverified voters are potential non-citizens. However illegal to purge registered voters within 90 days before election and federal government has no authority over state elections. . Los Angeles officials review found 38% were born in the US and 71% show no record of voting. No ballot has been mailed to almost half of those voters. Besides, justice department has no evidence of widespread voting fraud since only 28 people has been indicted out of 23 million voters in California. Similar to ICE, federal agents raid first and ask questions later. Resulting in hundreds of Americans wrongfully detained.

So far, Trump administration attempts to interfere in state elections have been failures. Republicans discourage voters while democrats encourage voters. For the first time in US history, federal government is a enemy of state elections rather than a partner according to Center for election research. Contempt for democracy is among characteristics of fascism in government.
