Hopefully they figure out how to solve global warming before it is to late

Confusing global warming with it being warmer year round.

CLIMATE CHANGE. Weird weather patterns and extreme temperatures. It has already snowed twice in Mississippi this year. The eprson I know who lives there said in the 8 years previous they could only remember it snowing once. Your misunderstanding is comical.

A couple months ago in CT is was in the 70s for about a week and then it a day after. Climate change has nothing to due with it being warm all year round. It has to do with unusual weather patterns and temperatures that certain areas are not accustomed.

Climate change has nothing to do with the weather being hot or cold.

The worst part of this whole thing is the longer we wait and make decisions off daily or weekly weather patterns, the worse that the end result is and the COST of waiting.

Just think if when Carter was in office that when he left (or had he got a second term) we had CONTINUED the push on solar, where would we be cost wise and what effect would the broad use of solar have on the energy situation we are currently in?

Waiting for 100% confirmation before taking action will add a huge multiplier to the real cost of the solution.

Another example would be many moons ago I owned car that had those CV joint boots, I was in college and wasnt earning much of anything (back then) and the boot was getting ripped and the joint was starting to click a little.

Had I spent the 80 bucks or whatever it would be to replace the boot and seal the CV joint THEN, it would have cost me some bucks but the car would have been fine.

I didnt have the free cash then so I waited..and waited and waited.

Eventually the joint failed and broke, the axle broke and the car had to be scrapped, it wasnt worth the cost of replacing the axle.

agree wallstreet, to parallel that to our economy, the joint has already failed and broke, the axle broke while we were driving the truck around the mud, we broke the radiator and the engine overheated, we knocked the oil pan off and the motor was running until it drained all the oil and ceased up. While our truck was stuck in the mud, someone came along and stole the wheels and tires and stereo system and pissed on our upholstery,,,,,left on cinder blocks and irreparable.

it's not worth the cost of fixing

so let it dissolve and thru the mess we start anew. The cleansing process would solve so many problems, and the argument some made a year ago is moot at this point.  we are worse off for trying these 'fixes' so better to scrap the beast and get a new government/economy

Your solutions arent solutions, neither are Koaj's and it is a good thing they arent.

What kind of society can exist by a solution of letting the whole thing be destroyed to prove a point?

 Temperatures Continue to Fall in the United States ..not just in the United States ......The Grand Match ( curling tournament )has only been held three times since 1945 because temperatures have been too high for thick ice to form on Scotland's lochs.

 But after the prolonged cold spell, organisers met today to discuss the possibility of the event going ahead next week. The competition was first held in 1837 and traditionally pitches the north and south of Scotland against each other.

More than two weeks of freezing weather across the country has raised hopes that the minimum 7in of ice needed for the game to go ahead will form on the Lake of Menteith...

   Global warming is underneath all the snow ..... 

I am all for promoting and building Solar power and Wind power.  However, I do not believe that the "cap and trade" legislation is  what we need.  And calling all this freezing weather "a blip" and disregarding it and continuing to push the "global warming theory" seems wrong to me.  All those MIT scientists can't be wrong.

KOAJ there is no reasoning with some... first it is "global warming"  Oh no the heat is here... the ice is melting ahhhhhhhh... now it is "global climate change"  OH GOD IT IS COLD IN FLORIDA THIS IS NOT NATURAL THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END... liberals are so damn extreme with every view point... the sky always has to be falling

40,000 years of evolution separate some of these animals from the rest of the world ...that is why the United Kingdom transported it's convicted criminals to Australia ...because it was far away from the rest of the world ...

So is it any wonder,that when the rest of the globe is freezing and under many feet of snow ..Australia would be setting record high tempertures  ???
