One of the things that destroyed our country is the same thing i have been saying over and over on this site. The piece of shit gop party kept giving the tax breaks to the rich and letting corporations move jobs overseas, without punishing those companies. So all you all you corporation suckholes who think its okay for companies to move jobs overseas, so they can make bigger profits for themselves, congratulations on being part of one of the things that destroyed the very country you live in. Let thne corporations go overseas with the jobs, its there right to make bigger profits for themselves without having to pay any taxes to bring those products back here. Bravo guys on a great gop strategy. And by the way the democrats are also to blame.

You saved it for the last sentence. Maybe should have moved that a higher bit up.
Let's see if Obama and the democrat led congress stops the tax breaks. If they don't, it will be interesting if the middle left and left posters will say anything about it.

Lippsman, you gotta admit that was a good article and the guy was pretty much right about what has happened to our country. It would have been nice if he spoke out about this kind of stuff 40 years ago, thou. Hes probably feeling guilty he was part of what destroyed our country and wanted to come clean.

koaj, you really need to change your corporation mindset because letting these companies get away with what they are doing everyday is criminal and its completely destroying the country we live in, which you seem to not give a flying fuck about as long as corporations can make their giant profits without having to pay taxes and import fees. Nice thinking their pal Glad to see your always looking out for the wealthy.

It's an interesting article, but I don't agree with all of it.

They can't admit to themselves that Reaganomics didn't work CD329. They have to blame someone for the money they lost in the market and on real-estate. So instead of saying, Gee, maybe I voted for the wrong party, they blame the Democrats.
Remember the old saying. If you want to live like the top 10 percent of Republicans, then vote for a Democrat.

What is ironic, they are not in that 10% , LOL
If you are talking to me I didn't lose a fucking penny on real estate or the market. The only mistake I made voting was for Bush for the 2nd time.

He explains why Bernanke should be fired immediately—along with Treasury
Secretary Timothy Geithner and President Obama’s chief economic adviser,
Larry Summers—
He is for wealth redistribution:
The lower half of American families don’t pay income tax, and they’re
the people who ought to be given a break here. By allowing these tax
cuts to expire, you’re putting the burden on the top half of the income
earners. What is more fair than that?
He likes Ron Paul:
“I’m totally in agreement with Ron Paul,” Stockman says. “I don’t
think he can be elected president, but I think he’s the only guy who
really understands monetary policy, economic policy, the proper role of
the state, the proper role of the U.S. in the world. On the other hand,
the world is changing pretty dramatically before our eyes. I wouldn’t
rule out anything right now. But if you asked me who is speaking truth
to power, it’s Ron Paul.”

Interesting fellow there..
More people should be listening to Ron Paul. But he doesn't have a chance in hell. Just doesn't have the look.

You did WHAT?
Reagan was probably the worst stealth president since Ive been out of diapers..the reality of how bad he was is really not known by the majority of the public.

Just kidding of course..Bush had a great re-election plan and executed it nicely..the deception worked as it has before and after his horrible terms in office.
ClubDirt, I grew up thinking he was a good president because I didnt know better..back then the public was even more in the dark and clueless than they are today.

I think its OK to let them move jobs overseas not so that they could increase their profits (although that's a completely legitimate goal of a corporation), but instead so that their products can continue to be cost effective in the global marketplace. Don't underestimate the impact of labor costs on a product.

My my, you are getting a little testy, aren't you ? But, that's the first sign. Once you admit to yourself you are on the wrong side, that's half the battle. Don't be afraid to come all the way over, not just half way by calling yourself and Independent. Just admit you were wrong and we will welcome you with open arms.

I also have no problem if they do this as long as the tax code is modified to change the tax rate and possible tarriffs to reflect the place of producton as a basis rather than the corporate headquarters.
If the company choses to raise prices on the product to compensate, they will deal with both public backlash and those that will keep prices the same or lower them to compete.

You are nothing but a left Bob and the only thing you add to the forum is comic relief. You and Bob should live together. Would make a nice sitcom.

exactly Thats the part these guys fail to grasp. Why should corporations be allowed to have their products made overseas, then bring them back here to sell to our people without having to pay any import taxes to bring those products back. What gives them to right to have a free pass and use our country like its their own personal litter box.
I truly do love the people that keep defending all these corporations, who contribute nothing to our country or society. Its really mind boggling how some of the guys here keep coming to their rescue whnever they see a post attacking these companies.
