NBC News has fired the producer it says was responsible for creating the deceptive audio recording of George Zimmerman communicating with a 9-1-1 operator, according to the New York Times.
The network is still refusing to release the name of the producer, although according to Times reporter Brian Stelter, the producer is based in Miami and has worked there for a number of years. According to Stelter's network sources, NBC is still insisting the deceptive edit was not done deliberatiely.
The network has refused to say how exactly someone could accidentally have edited the tape to make Zimmerman appear to be racially motivated:

I do expect some to come in here with spin though pointing out where FOX has reported on a story and inadvertently used old stock footage of another event

If we don't know the name of the fired producer ..how is anyone to know fo shizzle they were fired?
The producer him or her needs to be named and charged with a hate crime ..and inciting riots ..
Here is the transcript of the NBC segment:
Zimmerman says : "This guy looks like he's up to no good. He looks black ."
[Sounds like a racist to me ..]
Here is the actual transcript of what was said in the real 911 call:
Zimmerman : "This guy looks like he's up to no good ,or he's on drugs or something. It's raining and he's walking around ,looking about."
911 operator : "Okay. And this guy, is he white black or Hispanic?"
Zimmerman : "He looks black"
This wasn't an error..if the goal was to simply remove the 911 dispatchers voice..why did they remove what Zimmerman said in the middle ? ...This was a deliberate edit to make Zimmerman appear as a racist ..
Now, when is NBC going to fire the managing editor? Brain Williams....for trying to pull this Dan Ratheresque stunt..

It's BS. Whether he was asked or not, the color of the guy's skin is an identifying characteristic. Not remotely racist even if he volunteered it.
You're right Esplanade the color of a guy's skin is an identifing characteristic... That's probably why President Obama said ..‘If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon’...was he trying to say ? All black guy's look the same ?

if it was an inadvertent mistake, everyone involved should be fired and sued. if it was worse than that, i don't know what else can be done but that's incredibly irresponsible. the media has turned the whole thing into a circus.

i don't know, i could only make assumptions about the process cnn went through. if i had to guess, i'd say they were careless and heard what they wanted to hear to attract readers. not intentional, not inavdertent, but just careless because it fit their agenda. but that's just a guess.

You don't think if it were merely careless the words wouldn't be switched to use the maximum effect? You can't rearrange the edited version to be any worse than it is. Coincedence?

From what I'm told the editing of tape for news spots like this is mainly based on available time they want to devout to the story.
I read on this website some articles on the Political Insider (or something like that). Its about a guy, an Insider, who was telling us what is going to be happening during this election. He said RACE was going to be a significant factor. Maybe this was what he was talking about.
I'm more curious to know if this Producer gives political contributions and if he/she does to who. Might explain an awful lot.

i'm not trying to give cnn the benefit of the doubt, i'm just saying i don't know. whatever bad intentions you attribute to them, i wouldn't argue with you.

NBC is now trying to doing the "moonwalk " on their tape edit to paint Zimmerman as a racist ...
They are now reporting that on seven calls placed by Zimmerman between August 2011 and February 2012,he never mentioned the race of the person he thought was suspicious before he was asked .. and all the calls were to the non-emergency police line..

The worst thing is that they don't apologize to Zimmerman. They apologized to their listeners for misreporting the issue. To me, that continues to be an affront to Zim which was their initial intent and evidence of that intent.
