Explain Goldman Sachs moving their conference from LV to San Franciso then?  Cost them MORE money and they had to pay a cancellation fee.

Of course it was DIRECTLY done in response to the Presidents and Congresses backlass on corporate "junkets".  Yes Vegas business would still be slowing, but there have been many conferances that are still going on but have been moved out of Vegas and Orlando soley for PR reasons.

You seem to be very naive and a little bit idealisitc...All throughout history there has been arrogance and corruption in every governmental administration, in every country and by every type of people and political affiliation.  I'm sure corruption went on in the GWB administration, it would be abnormal for it to not have occured, but name me an administration in history which has not been accused or corruption or arrogance?  We are dealing with politicians here not saints.  The very nature of the politician is corrupt...that's WHAT THEY DO!

Goldman Sachs is a gov't entity, and as i'm sure there was someone, somewhere that was scared off by what Obama said, i don't think it is 'all his fault' as himike was insisting.  I think Obama knew it was the wrong thing to say, but slipped, and i'm sure it won't be the last time that happens.  Can your reference any other companies than GS that changed venue? because otherwise i'm gonna assume that Vegas is down because of the economy, and my info. is good that it was WAY DOWN during the PRIMARIES last year, so i find it hard to put this one totally on Obama
