As fellow non-partisan independents, we do not have to agree on everything...

Its not like we have to "caucus" in some type of groupthink circlejerk...

I agree and disagree with people from both sides and some not even on a side... its part of independent thought that is so hard for lemmings to grasp...

So by listing conservative issues you agree with it proves you are a non-partisan independent...

If that is how your group thinks with the "groupthink",  I think I am starting to see the problem here

I'm adding my name to the list of non-partisan independents like you and Matt.

You and Matt saying you are a non-partisan independent is good enough for me. I asked him to list where he stands on issues to show those racists, homophobic, sexists, cousin f#$%!! he is a non-partisan independent.

Welcome to the group cano. The three of us though need to be careful to not just let any slap as$ come in here and start spouting off that he is non partisan independent. We are an exclusive group of independent thinkers and need to be careful to protect the meaning of the phrase "independent".

What are the benefits for being a non-partisan independent? Do we get a free Nascar mug with any fill-up at participating Chevrons?

im glad that you know when to wave the white flag in your quest to prove that I am not a non-partisan independent...

Ive always said that you are smarter than the other aliases like bowlsit or others that dont know when to quit...

its like a gambler that loses a few bets and doesnt know when to stop chasing...

at least you know when you have met your match and instead can slink away and lick your wounds...

    well played

Dl36 - as a non- partisan independent I have to intervene here. Cano is one of the good guys. I encourage you to be a little more open minded to his efforts. He has some work to do but - We are a dying breed. We should not be trying to pick each other off.

    matt,

I agree... out of all the aliases in the circle jerk crew canos is easily my favorite and most entertaining...

but i think his reaction is part of a meltdown from embarassing himself with that comment about agreeing with conservatives as an indicator...

altho I have always said that it is a "wiling vs able" situation with the partisan lemmings..canos is able to be an independent thinker, but has not shown the willingness...

while someone like bowslit or others may be completely willing, but being able to think independently and critically is something they are not able to do...

canos is able to be one of the good guys but is often not willing to be much other than other member of the circle jerk crew engaging in name calling, insults and "bail outs"...

but the whole point of being a non-partisan independent is that there is no need for a group, alliance, party or "caucus"...

    we gotta transcend that

I watched the president give his speech.. and sadly enough, I'm not nearly as pissed about it as I wanted to be..  As a republican, I looked on in anger, at the audacity of one man, who undermines our constitution, but as I listened, I realized that a lot of what he was saying made some sense..  such as doubling the border security agents, deporting the undesirables, and allowing the immigrants to come forward to become documented, and given a "temporary" stay..

Now I'm not that gullible.. I know that "temporary" actually means, " fuk it, you're here forever"  but by allowing all of the illegals to come out of the shadows, get documented, within a set amount of time, and anyone being caught after that said time, with no documentation, is deported..

There is only one way for the republicans to handle this situation, and that is to swallow your pride, and work to pass a legal immigration bill, that works best for American citizens...  Lawsuits, threats of impeachment, defunding, passing laws to diminish the executive order, all will do nothing except hurt the American people, and themselves in the long run.

There are too many other areas where the Republicans can fight this administration, without making themselves look like dickks

Huh?  What type of bill would you pass---as opposed to the one already in place?  So, you are saying give in on this issue because you can fight on other issues. Such as?  How long before you get duped into giving in on those as well.  You will slowly become indoctrinated to accept more of the agenda as okay.

The one already in place does nothing to repair the problem... You and I and everyone else knows, that the United States is not deporting 11 million immigrants... The House Republicans, can draw up a bill that the left and right could agree on through negotiations.

They could use the format of the presidents plan, and tweak it, by placing a number on the amount of illegals , something that the president did not mention last night... They could adapt a clause that says, once this basket of immigrants has been cleared, that the basket doesn't get filled and repeatedly emptied on a reoccurring basis... By doing this, it would allow both sides, President and Republicans to save face..

we can give bowslit a uniform and tell him to stand behind the backstop to catch the backwards homeruns...  mr fantasy land will think he is actually on the field and an integral part of the team

The immigration law is not there to repair the problem.  The lack of enforcement is the problem.
Yes we aren't going to deport them---but only because we lack the fortitude to do it. Obviously, it could be done as I have mentioned many times on here before. Huge start is not to hire them, then lots self-deport. Enforce current laws; all get better then.
Just to keep fiddling around with the issue never will solve it.
As I have said Ike's plan worked and would work again today by and large. We have to have the fortitude and actually care. Or we will simply be back here again at a later date.

A second State has fired Jonathan Gruber... The state of North Carolina  fired Jonathan Gruber, after he was caught on camera repeatedly calling American voters “stupid.” ..

..So he’s not being fired for making those "stupid " statements he’s being fired for the statements being made public. In other words, for the truth being exposed.....he got fired for telling the truth ..that American voters 'are stupid' and swallowed the Obamacare deception....hook, line and sinker..

The last Republican candidate for president hired illegal immigrants. The Republican candidate for president before him thinks your plan on deporting 12 million people is asinine.

    why so serious?

lighten up...  I thought you wanted to be a part of the team...

perhaps with the old circlejerk caucus you were used to making the signals and calls... but this team is loose, humorous and has fun....

Why can't you just  have a good time with the everyone else not take this so seriously like its your life?

You are a natural "catcher", the position suits you...  just fasten your mask and not complain about the wild pitches when they happen...
