No sir. For sure, no sitting ones. The Mt. Rushmore image with those is on there and there are quotes from others in there.
The 2026 passport is a limited commemorative edition created for the 250th anniversary of American independence ("America250"), not the standard passport design. Applicants can still obtain the regular passport. You actually have to apply for this particular passport and only in D.C., etc. But everyone will get their normal passport.
This is analogous to the proposed $1 commemorative coin for the 250th anniversary.
This is seen as a pretty big event. The Bicentennial did commemorative things like this with coins, stamps, etc.
But this is seen as a much bigger celebration to commemorate, so they are just doing a lot more things to celebrate it with. I would not read too much into it. I doubt Trump had much of anything to do with it.
Maybe some folks will be interested in getting one just to have it. It is not just a portrait change. They are doing several other 250-themed things designed on it. Sort of like how the stamps and coins were for the Bicentennial -- this will just include a comparative passport.
