Why does the US seek foreign investment into this country under Trump? Previously it was viewed that this country has enough capital and need domestically and that inviting foreign investment and ownership has great downsides to the security and safety of this country. I do not see why Trump is seeking other countries to build schtuff here when we are the greatest country in the world, we do not need foreign capital here.

Looks like the state of Florida will not be receiving reimbursement for the construction of Alligator Alcatraz. It will be out about a quarter million. It gets better.
DHS states they submitted an application for a 608 million grant to FEMA for the prison & it was approved. But that didn't mean the money was actually sent.
The Director of our state FEMA department said he was told the DOJ had held up the reimbursement.
Of course the contractors who built this disaster had made major political contributions to DeSantis. The Miami Herald did a great expose identifying all the usual suspects who have made billions on state contracts.
Seems to me like no-one in the state gives a shit.
