What I don't understand and just can't grasp about people who actually argue politics...BOTH SIDES LIE!!!  All politicians lie, neither dems nor repubs are better than the other.  Great, you've got proof that Republicans lie and do it often.  I can 100% guarantee that the same video exists showing Democrats lying.  I just don't get the need to point this out, like somehow you are exonerating the other side??

And I am an Independent because a two-party system in 2008 with everything that's ever gone wrong in this country is LAUGHABLE at best.  The only reason there are two parties, in my humble opinion, is to take advantage of the masses.  And all I need to do to prove my opinion correct is look at the state of our country and everything that's happened in the last 50 years of so.  Are there really people out there that honestly think one "side" is the absolute answer to every problem or concern?  Wake the hell up people.

100% true statement.  My purpose isn't trying to make the democrats seem innocent here,,,,,,just pointing out the hypocrisy that was demonstrated at this given time,,,,,,,,

personally,,,,i just REALLY wanted to see someone come in here and try to "spin" this---because that's what gets my attention the most in the political forum,,,and politics in general---the hypocrisy,,,,,,,2-4,,,,you made 2 very good posts,,,,and in my opinion, you are absolutley right,,,,i have no problem with someone coming in here saying,,,"yea,,,that's some hypocritical bullshit---but it comes from BOTH sides",,,,,and if you have any examples you would like to share,,,,i would love to view them.

My point is...why point them out?  That's all the media does...and has done...and will seemingly ever do. Why can't honestly trying to do what's best for the masses be the right answer???

To elaborate a little...I would imagine that there aren't too many in this country that are 100% Left or Right on every issue/topic.  With that being said, what is the reason that, after 200+ years of politics in this country, a two party system still rules??  Especially with the Media being as large and as integral it is in our culture?? 
 
If you can't honestly say that you 100% agree with a Left or Right stance on every possible issue; how has an Independent not won or even come close to winning an election.  I can't grasp why a two party system ruled by a document written over 200 years ago rules in this country.

I don't agree with you here.  I think people have to be held accountable for the statements that they make.  If they wan't to choose to publically make hypocritical statements--they must be called out on them, no matter their political affiliations.

There are hypocrites on either side- Jon Stewart just chose the political right for this piece ( not a huge surprise ).  I'm sure there are plenty of examples of doublespeak, etc. by Democrats / liberals as well ( Bill Clinton at Ron Brown's funeral faking crying comes to mind).  It's just the screwed up way that politics in this country has become.  O'Reilly, I think, started out with some decent ideas- then his ego took over and he turned into an egocentric ass.  Karl Rove- well, you know what you're getting with him up front- political expediency with a smokescreen of BS- it's worked so far.

Obviously there are hypocrites on both sides.. however the dems are not the ones who for 18 months have called Obama just about every slanderous name there is.
It is not the dems who used well known leaders (Guiliani, Palin, Romney, Huckabee ect , to slander and mock Obama.

Furthermore the Dems doesnt present themselves at the moral values party.

That is the case why it is interesting with the hypocritical right.

Btw what about that BOB.. he is at it again.. speaking about hypocrites, firing off posts to the left and right.. but not one republican have been seen commenting in this thread...  it is really priceless to watch how they shy away.

 Mikael99 I did not see any negative comments on Obama in here or in the press till this year..... let's cut that 18 in half ..9 mths maybe ..and you will have to admit Obama's answer to critism of his past is always answered with...     Oh they said what?,..I denounce and disown that person...
 
 Why is it taking  Sen.Obama so long to claim a new church that he will be afilliated with ?.............is because the new church will be the same as the old church....?

Rove:  Clearly hypocritical statement when using Palin's governorship as a talking point.

OReilly:  Stewart performs a ridiculous comparison.  Spears' mom has really been a "model" mom:

- Managed to have two daughter's end-up with significant teen-age problems
- Divorced the father
- Sold the story of her daughter's (Jamie) pregnancy story to tabloid (OK!) for $1 million dollars

Other ones:  Don't have time.

,,,now,,,correct me if i'm wrong,,,,because i am in no way claiming this to be a 100% fact,,,,but didn't "unions" play a large role in getting american workers weekends off??? So wouldn't you be enjoying this Saturday thanks to these "unions" that you appear to not support. Maybe someone out there can help us with this one.  Thanks.
