Slim, it was all in fun, Rick gave some sarcastic answers, I'm sure you would have done the same about Obama.  But let's say I would have lost, here's what I would have said about Romney:

1. He's a very good husband to his wife and dad to his kids.

2. Rich guys like him don't need the President's salary so he's running to better the country.

3. He was governor of one of the most liberal states and he adjusted his politics to fit them, that makes me think he won't forget the left if he's elected.

4. He actually has admitted to being wrong at some of his debates.

5. If he runs the government like he ran Bain Capital, we should be out of debt 15 minutes after his inaguration.

3. He was governor of one of the most liberal states and he adjusted his politics to fit them, that makes me think he won't forget the left if he's elected...

This very fact will work against him in the GOP race for the nomination and is a good reason not to vote for him..

Democratic Representative Bart Stupak changed his mind on ObamaCare and was apparently the deciding person in its passage.  What was behind Stupak claiming to be solidly against ObamaCare because it would fund abortions with Federal money?

Did Stupak change his mind because he trusted President Obama to not fund abortions with Federal money?  Obama signed an Executive Order directing that the ObamaCare bill would not fund abortions.  However, Obama had no control over the modification of the ObamaCare bill before the House.  Executive Orders cover only those matters under the direct jurisdiction of the White House, and that did not include the current ObamaCare bill.  The Hill reported,

Stupak said on Fox News afterward that the executive order was a "very strong statement" that wouldn't replace statutory language -- his preference -- but acknowledged that he couldn't get such language through the Senate.

"All the safeguards we were looking for, the principle we fought for all these months, will be enforced through this executive order," Stupak said. "It's a good agreement."

Stupak also stressed that fixes to the bill could be enacted between now and 2014.

Obama now has us in a real fix.  Government controlled health care has always been the best way to control people, including societal values and morals.  It is the most effective tool of Socialist tyranny

Hey guys, I can't force Rick to do anything.  He did it his way, fine.  We are all different people with different attitudes.

Only Don and me act normal.

Ryan Speaks Out in Defense of Religious Liberty

February 10, 2012

In response to today’s decision by the Obama Administration, Wisconsin’s First District Congressman Paul Ryan issued the following statement:

"The President’s policy continues to contradict the core principles of our nation. His decision today stilldisrespects the Constitution by treating our rights as revocable privileges from our government, instead of inalienable gifts from our creator. The President did not compromise -- he doubled down."

Now the govt is telling the insurance companies have to provide it to church hospital or other faith based organizations "free" of charge.
Free of charge? Umm, someone has to pay for it. Obama care is going to blow up premiums bc he thinks shit can be provided for "free"

Insurance companies will always pass the costs on to their customers. Just like if you raise taxes on a corporation they will pass the costs on to their customers. Just like if you raise the min wage on a business they will pass the costs on to their customers.

Except we have a whole thread explaining why they don't/won't.

But if you keep repeating what those right wingers tell you to think, I'm sure you will at least believe it.

https://www.nationalreview.com/articles/291299/obamarsquos-deceptive-hidden-premises-michael-novak

The most evil thing about the Obama administration’s recent violation of the separation of church and state is its deceptiveness. With his order requiring inclusion of contraception and abortifacient drugs in insurance coverage, the president is smuggling the hidden premises of NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and other supporters of abortion into U.S. law, and doing so untruthfully.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) instruction attacking religious institutions such as hospitals, universities, and programs for the poor rests on four hidden premises.

Minimum Wage Once Again:

You own a company and you have a budget.
The govt says you must start paying a certain number of employees
more tomorrow then you are paying them today.
Your company has a bottom line it has to meet.
Once those dollars coming in start going towards labor you will have
 to:
1) Cut manpower hours
2) Lay people off
3) Raise prices on your product

If you own a business and you have a budget (which is a word a liberal obviously has never heard of) and you tell a company you have to raise the wages on a # of employees you are going to meet the bottom line or you will go out of business.

Will the Senate ever pass a budget??  The House did their job last year and will do again this year.

Here's where Obama will get hit from two sides:  First if Catholics follow their leaders advice and vote against Obama, that would be a huge block of voters.  Second, this will make social conservatives a bit more interested in seeing Obama's defeat and might warm up to Romney.  Perhaps they considered not voting, but this could bring them back to the polls.

It is unbelievable that Obama is pushing this a few months before the election.

VERY INTERESTING, AND NOW IS THE TIME TO GET DOWN ON ROMNEY BEFORE HIS ODDS DROP!

intrusting angle... I dont know if this one issue will have such an effect on odds...

But none the less thank you for posting about gambling odds in the "political betting" forum....

There seems to be an abundance of partisan lemmings on this site that will drone on endless about this off topic to litter their leaflets of propaganda

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/02/24/7-states-sue-to-block-contraception-mandate/

"The president's so called 'accommodation' was nothing but a shell game: the mandate still requires religious organizations to subsidize and authorize conduct that conflicts with their religious principles," Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said in a statement. "The very first amendment to our Constitution was intended to protect against this sort of government intrusion into our religious convictions."

The Obama administration did not comment on the lawsuit Thursday.

That's an idea.
Remember, we also need to pay down the debt so let's tax them
 more too.
