i only served stateside in the guard but as i recall u were actually deployed into an active combat zone

Each Memorial Day we go to our local cemetary with 4 other vets & their spouses & place flags at the graves of veterans that have passed. This year we placed 17 more flags than we had last year. It's a very sobbering experience especially when we come across a grave of a young soldier. By young, I mean in their 40's & 50's.

The State Senator wife of impeached TX AG Ken Paxton, who refused to recuse herself from his trial, will now be forced to listen to the evidence of how he accepted gifts benefiting his mistress, but won’t be allowed to vote to save her beloved husband.

But there's always a catch...... she is effectively allowed to be an automatic "No" vote since she is counted among the Present. If she was DQ'd it would take 20 votes to convict, it now takes 21.
