Federal judge strikes down Trump rule
that would have cut food stamps
    for nearly 700,000 unemployed Americans

The rule, announced in December, would have required more food stamp recipients
to work in order to receive benefits by limiting states' ability to waive existing work
mandates. It had been scheduled to take effect on April 1, but Howell in mid-March
blocked it from being implemented, and Congress suspended work mandates in the
food stamp program as part of a coronavirus relief package that month.

The requirement could have resulted in 688,000 non-disabled, working-age adults
without dependents losing their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits,
or SNAP, as food stamps are formally known, according to Agriculture Department
estimates, which were calculated prior to the pandemic.
It was expected to save $5.5 billion over five years.

Why A Surge In Republican Voter Registration
Might Not Mean A Surge In Trump Support

    By Geoffrey Skelley

A voter’s party registration is a strong indicator of who they’ll support,
    but it’s not a guarantee.

In fact, many voters registered with one party have actually been voting for
the other party in recent elections but haven’t necessarily switched their
registration to reflect the party they actually support.

Take Pennsylvania, for example. The once-Democratic southwestern part has
shifted sharply toward the GOP over the past couple of decades.
However, party registration figures haven’t necessarily reflected that movement
as much as you might expect.

In other words, despite the surge in GOP registrations in a few swing states,
it’s hard to read that as a clear sign of success for the GOP in November.
It could be a good sign, but it could also be a lot of noise,

and you’re better off looking at the polls instead.

The president is heading into Election Day with the highest unemployment rate on record
since monthly tracking began in 1948. paint_help

In September, the nation was still down 10.7 million jobs compared to February. an_speechless

The recent declines in unemployment figures are due partly to the unexpectedly high
rate of people dropping out of the labor force. This was especially true for women in
the prime working age between 35 and 44.
People who are no longer in the labor force, no longer actively looking for work,
are not accounted for in the nation's unemployment rate.

Meaning the TRUE numbers are actually worse than the government stats.

Take Pennsylvania, for example. The once-Democratic southwestern part has shifted sharply toward the GOP over the past couple of decades. However, party registration figures haven’t necessarily reflected that movement as much as you might expect. In other words, despite the surge in GOP registrations in a few swing states, it’s hard to read that as a clear sign of success for the GOP in November. It could be a good sign, but it could also be a lot of noise, and you’re better off looking at the polls instead. this is quite true !

a lot of people register to vote under one party but they intend only to vote down ballot for their party and will vote opposite for president .

rump is losing some otherwise loyal repos this way

3 key swing states have higher unemployment
    than the national average

    NEWS
With two weeks to go until Election Day, plenty of states still have unemployment rates
higher than the national average. The US average unemployment rate in September
    stood at 7.9%.

But three key swing states are suffering worse:
Pennsylvania's jobless rate stood at 8.1% last month,
    Michigan's was 8.5% and
Ohio's came in at 8.4%, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday.

Currently, trump is down significantly in all polls in those three swing states.

How trump handled the virus he allowed into our country
    compared to a responsible government...

    UPDATE Oct 26:

South Korea -- which is right next door to CHINA ! --
got its first case of covid-19 on the very same day as the US.

Here's how effectively each government responded:

South Korean death toll from covid =                 460       (  9 deaths per million pop)
trump-regime deaths from covid = 225,696    (697 deaths per million pop)

The Obama-Biden Administration failed to replenish the federal stockpile of N95 respirator masks after the swine flu pandemic, despite recommendations that it do so. The shortage America is experiencing today is a direct result of the Obama-Biden Administration's failure to prepare the country.

    Obama-Biden-regime deaths from covid = 225,696

If the Obama-Biden regime want to take credit for Trump's successful economy then Obama/Biden regime also should get credit for failing to replenish the federal stockpile of N95 respirator masks.

    Obama-Biden-regime deaths from covid = 225,696

UPDATE, Oct 30: Key Senate races listed at RCP

The Good Guys might gain Kansas and Georgia now, too!

They must win 3 net seats to capture Senate in a tie, with Harris casting deciding vote.
But they will likely lose Senate seat in Alabama to Tuberville (R).
So the good guys must win 4 other seats to get a Senate tie.
Five or six would be better to counter the chances of a rogue Dem Senator demanding
unreasonable goodies in return for his/her vote on any closely contested issues.
I say they need to win at least 5 seats for that reason.

+7.0   COLORADO - Gov. Hickenlooper (D) easily over *Gardner
+5.0   ARIZONA - Mark Kelly (D) over *Martha McSally in serious trouble!
+4.0   MAINE - Sara Gideon (D) over *Susan Collins
    +3.2   N.CAROLINA - Cunningham (D) over *Tillis
+1.5   IOWA - Greenfield (D) vs *Joni Ernst
    +1.0   KANSAS - Barbara Bollier (D) vs Marshall (R)
    +0.5   GEORGIA1 - Jon Osoff (D) vs David Perdue (R)..........newly added! an_light
TIED   S.CAROLINA - Jaime Harrison (D) vs Lindsey Graham
???    GEORGIA2 Warnock (D) in fair position to unseat Loeffler

Washington Nationals announced plans over the weekend to host
President-elect Joe Biden to throw out the first pitch on Opening Day 2021.

"We look forward to hosting President-Elect Biden on Opening Day,"
the team wrote on Twitter on Saturday.
"We're excited to continue the long-standing tradition of
sitting Presidents throwing out the first pitch at the home

President Trump never threw out a first pitch in his tenure,
snapping a streak of 18 consecutive presidents.

    Fox News pulls plug
    on Trump spokeswoman
    making baseless claims of fraud

Moments into a Trump campaign press conference on Monday afternoon
at which White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany charged
that Democrats were “welcoming fraud” and “illegal voting,”
Fox News host Neil Cavuto had heard enough.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa, I just think we have to be very clear.
She’s charging the other side is welcoming fraud and
welcoming illegal voting,” Cavuto said, interrupting the
video feed of the briefing, which McEnany said she was conducting in her
“personal capacity” rather than in her official White House role.
“Unless she has more details to back that up I can’t in good
    countenance continue showing you this.
