his own Twitter poll go against him.
Elon Musk tweeted a poll Sunday evening asking people
to vote on whether he should step down as Twitter’s CEO.
Musk "claimed" he would abide by the poll’s results,
although no mention made if he would still exert control
over operations.
As of Sunday evening,
“Yes” [step down] was winning 58% to 42%.
Of course, Musk could still pull a "trump-special" and just LIE.
As owner of a private business he can do anything he wants within the law. He can claim later that he "changed his mind" and reinstate himself. Or, he can appoint a lackey to whom he will issue all orders, effectively remaining in full control of the business decisions just as if he were still the CEO. This would be fraudulent but not actually illegal.
I expect the massive loss of advertising revenues due to his obvious turn toward acceptance of hate speech account holders and then banning journalists, is a serious concern, despite his wealth. The notorious changes he's made will remain and those "deplorables" who preach hatred & division will have their podium back.

With or without the CEO title, however, Musk will almost
