Her victory comes on the heels of the Texas 9th state Senate special election last week, where Democrat Taylor Rehmet flipped a seat in the largest Republican county in the country — a seat held by the GOP for over 40 years. While Mr. Trump won that Texas district by 17 points in 2024, Rehmet won his race by 14 points.

 Republicans have not yet had any special election legislative pickups during Trump's second term. But Democrats have flipped eight (8) previously GOP-held districts in special elections since Trump took office.

Daily beast reports that Trump is trying to exploit Jackson's death against Obama.  But in the past, Jackson said, "Trump has used lies to mobilize the anti-Martin Luther King, anti-civil rights and anti-Obama forces."  Responding to Trump's claim that black voters have nothing to lose by voting for him, Jackson countered, "you have everything to lose and nothing to gain."

- Republican Senator Everett Dirksen was honored by the NAACP for helping pass the 1964 Civil Rights Act

- Sen. Albert Gore Sr. ( Al Gore's father !) joined the longest filibuster against the 1964 Civil Rights Act

Most Liberals are anti-racism, while it is empirically self-evident that a majority of conservatives (but not all) are ok with it and/or openly engage in it.  Liberals tend to migrate to the modern day version of the Democratic Party.  Conservatives migrate to the modern day republican party (right wing) -- although it is true that right-wing conservatives at one time in our history chose to call themselves the Democratic Party.  150 years ago those same right-wing conservatives could have called themselves the Allen Parson Project for all we care --- it would not have changed their ideology of right-wing conservatism

As they should, I am sure if Trump's disneyland resort was within reasonable distance to someone the UK wanted to invade he would not be in support of the drink and run nonsense where the US does Israeli dirty work and leaves town then all of Europe has to deal with the consequence. 

Maybe if Trump wasnt such an obtuse abusive clown and didnt stomp all over other countries that he would get better involvement from them. In this case I see absolutely no reason why the US should be involved in Iran/Israel spat and why would we risk a single US life or a single US dollar in this circumstance?
