sorry but i believe in both ways to help people.

I just hope you have saved up enough money to help your kids and their kids in the years to come because by the time McCain gets thru running the deficit up and helping to destroy the middle class way of life, along with letting companies keep moving jobs overseas, there will be no jobs left here for your children except maybe low paying jobs at burger king. So  i hope you are packing enough cash away for them when you are gone. 

 

p.s. by the way great speech by palin last night, she addressed nothing and only shot out attacks from her big mouth. Shes a complete wacko and if she had her way she would wipe every animal off the planet in order to drill for oil, typical republican always thinking about themselves.  I hope the democrats destroy this nutcase and send her back to the alaskan woods where she belongs.

Do you really think with Obama in the big chair, jobs will come back to America?  Considering how much more companies will be taxed, I see more jobs going overseas. 

The only way jobs will come back is putting penalties on the companies for outsourcing jobs.  The companies need tax breaks for hiring more Americans instead of shipping the jobs overseas.

That will make a difference.

Why Obama Can't Close the Sale

Even before John McCain shook up the presidential race by tapping Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate, polls weren't showing the late-August lead that Barack Obama (and many Republicans) expected. Why so?

It's not because of the brilliance of the McCain campaign. Rather we believe that -- despite the media's best efforts to exempt Mr. Obama's policies from critical examination -- American voters aren't sheep. They pay attention to the candidates and positions and make wise decisions about who should lead the country.

True, Mr. Obama enjoys several advantages. Republicans are struggling nationwide in head-to-head contests. Democrats lead in voter registration, and have a well-funded presidential candidate.

Yet Americans have not committed to Mr. Obama. Why?

Clearly, Mr. Obama's weakness on foreign policy is a factor. He has a knee-jerk preference for diplomacy with China, Europe and Russia over the security of the American people and our closest allies. He hasn't explained his shifting positions on Iraq and Iran, among other hot spots. And he felt compelled to make up for his experience gap with Mr. McCain by picking Sen. Joe Biden to be his running mate.

But here's the thing: It's not that Mr. Obama hasn't been specific enough in his governing plans. To the contrary, he has been very specific about his tax policy, health-care and energy proposals. It's that voters are paying attention and appear not to like what Candidate Obama is saying.

Mr. Obama has proposed a massive tax increase on investors, business owners, and the "wealthy." At a time when the American people rate the economy as the central issue of the campaign, a tax hike doesn't make a lot of political sense. Voters know that a tax hike won't help the economy.

Moreover, Mr. Obama's tax plans would directly or indirectly harm U.S. investors by raising the capital gains and dividend taxes. More than half of U.S. households are equity owners, so Mr. Obama's proposal risks alienating half the population.

Mr. Obama claims to offer a tax cut to moderate-income families, but a significant portion of Mr. Obama's tax plan is a welfare giveaway costing more than $648 billion over 10 years, according to the Tax Policy Center.

How so? He would authorize a hodgepodge of refundable tax credits covering everything from education, mortgage payments, child care and other items for people who do not pay income taxes now.

About 38% of U.S. households pay no income tax today. Under a President Obama (whose policies would shave 15.3 million households off the tax rolls) that share would grow to nearly half of all American households.

We have been repeatedly told that everyone should pay their fair share. So this sounds grossly unfair and like a return of tax-and-spend liberal economics. No wonder there is a lot of doubt about the wisdom of the junior senator from Illinois.

Mr. Obama's health-care proposal is not quite HillaryCare, but it comes close. A national health insurance, heavily subsidized by taxpayers, would be offered to the currently uninsured. Mr. Obama's instincts on health care are always to move more people onto rolls of government-paid and government-mandated insurance, while depriving the marketplace the oxygen it needs for greater innovation, life-saving cures, and efficiency.

Americans have heard the refrain for government-provided health care before and know an expensive government giveaway when they see it.

Mr. Obama's energy policy is to drill less, consume less, tax more, and spend more. With barely a nod to nuclear energy -- the only meaningfully large, carbon-free source of domestic energy -- he is promising a massive increase in domestic, noncarbon-based energy from sources that produce only a fraction of our energy now.

He has also proposed massive tax increases on U.S. oil and gas companies while continuing to cut off vast swaths of U.S. territory to drilling.

Again, Americans are wiser than they are given credit. They know that if you restrict supply and tax production, prices go up.

The economic wisdom of Americans should not be doubted. They can see through Mr. Obama's proposals. They know that they will have to pick up the bill if Mr. Obama sends checks to people who already don't pay taxes; they know a centralized government-controlled health-care system will be more expensive, less efficient, and less friendly to patients and doctors. They know that the most effective way to bring down energy prices is by keeping all our energy options open, including more drilling in the U.S.

And they know that if a candidate has spent his entire career taxing more and spending more, that's what you'll get -- and more of it.

Mr. Obama is wondering why he can't shake Mr. McCain. His problem isn't his plans for the campaign. It's his plans for governing the country. Americans just aren't buying into them.

Your 1000000000000 percent correct.  The only way to stop companies from going overseas to use slave labor{and thats exactly what it is} is by making it not profitable for them.

Heres the thing the republicans keep giving the tax breaks to this rich companies and they dont create jobs, and still send the jobs overseas.  thats the problem.  Obama has said hes goona stop these companies from doing that.

Now as far as taxes going up, both parties are gonna make the taxes go up, thats a no brainer.  Each guys plans are going to create deficits more then likely, but i really believes McCains ideas will create a bigger one then Obamas.  Just the war alone is going to be a burden on tax payers for years to come.  All, that money and lives being wasted so the republicans defense buddies can make trillions of dollars off taxpayers, am sorry but McCain will keep that free ride going for them. 

8 years of a republican in the whitehouse is enough, lets try something new for the next 4 years, who knows it might work out great and then again it might not.  I would rather take a chance on something fresh, then another 4 years of what we already got. The rich getting richer, while the poor get poorer.

someone sees the light

increasing the cost of doing business at home will only cause jobs to leave...whether its through taxes, benefit mandates, unions, labor costs

Just hate those unions dont you?  I guess you dont realize its the union workers who built this country, who are now being eliminated.

I thought you were union basher.  Your just like all the other people who bash unions and complain about them, reason being you were never in a union so you cant stand them.  I have seen personally a bunch of people always bashing union guys until they got jobs in a union, then they were bigtime pro union, always displaying stickers on their cars and wearing union shirts.  Dont hate because you chose a differnt career path.  Am sure if you had your way everybody should just make minimum wage, which is what all republicans want to pay people. You see this is the problem with republicans, they hate paying people and just want to make all the money themselves.  Its goes back to what i have been saying all along, they are selfish and greedy.  ME,ME,ME those are republicans first words when they are born.

 Please tell me how McCain is gonna keep paying for the war and all the tax cuts hes going to give away.  All you keep saying is how Obama is gonna cause us to pay more taxes with his programs.  Well hows McCain gonna pay for his?  Is he gonna hire david copperfield to make trillions of dollars just appear out of thin air. Please their both gonna cause taxes to go up, only differnece in each guys plans is whos gonna pay for them.  Personally i would rather have the rich pricks pay, instead of the middle class paying.

I'm here. Just stay focused on what you are reading and HELP stop the madness. You can't be for Ron Paul and John McCain Koaj. That's where you're running into problems (IMO).

It's tough for you I know but I'm being honest with you here.

It can be done.This is the time to bring Truth to the people.

 FS, if and when you read the book...don't get hung up on 1 or 2 issues you may not agree with Ron on. He actually listens and works with people. All people.

Power to the people and the states...not the Fed.

Obama/McCain will not "change" much (lot of talk though).

All should know that I am a NOT a Republican or a Democrat.

We are American's first no?

Our whole system is broken(Big $ etc.). The People must fix it.

If all of the people who have said..."I'd vote for Ron but he can't win"...actually voted for him. You would all be shocked. I couldn't vote for him in the Primaries because I refused to switch to Republican. There are so many more cases like mine, AND new Ron Paul supporters now.

That IS part of the problem. 

This country is in BIG trouble. Help fix it. You will see better choices 4 years from now thanks to Ron Paul and the Revolution.

It is and has been a peaceful Revolution. I've witnessed so many beautiful times and shared many great experiences/meetings of the minds throughout. It's not the lunatic fringe , MSM paints it to be.

The Powers that be are very scared of us(the people). Now more than ever. That's a good thing. The founding fathers wanted it that way.

Is the Constitution perfect? No. If we follow it would we be much better off? YES!

I hope they allow this movement to continue to grow(currently trying to paint us as threats to America!). We have proven that we are only a threat to tyranny and treason.

No matter what road we take it will be bumpy. Let's get on the correct road so we can repair it quicker (much pain before gain though). At least we'll be on the correct road and most people can handle the pain. The ones who can't? Americans are very giving when it comes to caring for those who NEED help. People helping people.

Remember...Government Money IS OUR money. We'll help those in NEED through kindness and compassion.

 Not the Government.

You bet your ass the powers that be are afraid of us, thats exactly why they have been doing things to take away our freedoms, this way they maintain their stranglehold and stay in power.  Theres gonna be a showdown at some point in time, how many years from now?  I dont know, but its coming.

After the gouging of our economy by the Republican administration the past 8 yrs, the lower & middle income groups need to be able to keep more $$ in their pocket period! It's a wrong-headed & deceptive argument that successful businesses will go overseas strictly due to a modest tax hike.

CD, it is useless trying to make a logical argument to these
robber barons. They are worried that higher corporate taxes will
force more outsourcing to overseas locations. HELLLLLLOOO,
what has been going on for the last 8 years with little or no
corporate taxation. We have lost American jobs at an unprecedented pace over Chauncey Gardner's reign of terror to
sweatshop labor in Southeast Asia,India Pakistan, China etc.
Yet our Carnegies etc in this forum are worried that taxation will
shake the gilded corporate cage so much that wont be able to
survive without even more outsourcing. Since 68% of foreign
corporations doing business in the U.S pay no taxes whatsoever
maybe it will be better if we increase that total to 100% and we
will be on the road to recovery. And when I say foreign corps
I am not talking about Lufthansa, I am talking Eastman Kodak
and other basically Anerican corps who set up phony business
offices in Bermuda or the Caymans just to avoid paying any tax.
But , mention any program to help the working class or the poor
to the Mr.Potters in here and they recoil in terror. When did this
country become an oligarchy bent on only self aggrandizement
with no regard for anyone of lesser economic stature. Maybe
it hasnt except for the greedy barons in this forum. I certainly
hope not.

Well, if someone has the time and inclination I wish that all of President Obama's lies that he told for the six months before he was elected and the time since January when he was sworn in could be tabulated in one thread (probably would take two entries) and then compare them with these stated in this little deal.  All politicians lie, some more than others.

APK, I'll bet you can tabulate these for us.  It would provide edification for all these "teabagging" on the President.  Since this term is being allowed against conservatives I would assume it would be allowed against others.  We shall see.
