before the iowa caucuses, i remember reading an article about 5 of the candidates getting together to discuss family values and faith, etc.  newt was right there with them.  anyway, some is too much for me. 

as to the other point, i'm not talking about republicans within the political system but people who share traditional fiscal conservative values that have the other seemingly necessary qualifications- a lot of money, connections, intelligence, no major baggage.  those people must be banging their heads against the wall watching what's going on here.  i guess they just write their checks and wash their hands of the rest of it?

That was the point of Newt's response (besides the fact that he wanted to deflect that in a roundabout way he wanted a threesome.) Why would King, or CNN, make that the first question in a presidential debate with all of the problems in the country.

i didn't listen to the question or the response although i know a little about it because the news is all over it like they usually are with insignificant crap.  anyway, i'm referring to newt certainly hitting the family values drum harder while pandering to iowa and south carolina.  i know he's no santorum, but he's in the mix.  and if he does that, he has to know what's coming at some point. 

but i do wish the media would move on to more important issues.

oh, to answer your question, because cnn is as bad, if not worse, than the others and such sophomoric issues appeal to the lowest common denominator on the other side.

now, i like reading about political hypocrisy as much as the next guy, if not more.  if you are a hypocrite, i do think you should be called on it.  but at the end of the day, we'd like to know who can get the job done.  let's give it the brief entertainment value it deserves and spend the bulk of the time on important issues.

Maybe just to hit it head on, let Newt do his thing & get it out of the way, lol. Sounded like Newt was more interested in just being able to do whatever he wanted & still have the comfort/front of marriage than any kind of 3-some. Can't see that playin very well with alot of women voters, many who probably consider him a chauvanist, know-it-all pig to begin with. Should it matter much? No, but it will to some & is the last thing a guy with Newt's history wants to see.

Am I different than everyone else. I do want our potential POTUS to be free from this bullshit.

For Gods sake if you don't love your spouse DIVORCE them don't cheat on them and spend their money until you get caught and end up in an UGLY divorce later.

Newt divorced her after coming out with the affair and even though she was needing serious medical treatment.

Either he loved her or he didnt but as soon as he knew he didnt love her anymore he should have filed for divorce.

This country and world would be a FAR better place if married people were honest with each other in this regard.

Until I found out about Newts past I thought he was a great candidate for POTUS. Now I think he's an intelectual cheating asshole.

You are probably correct Newt was tie or within the margin of error to Romney before  King tried to set-up Newt with a gotha question ..now he 9/10 point ahead in SC ...

When will the liberal media learn ..if you try to use a gotha question on Newt you end up like a suicide bomber ...
