No see this is where you are wrong.  Am not defending any of these scumbags.  In fact i hate alot of Obamas cabinet picks.  I still believe that alot of his picks werent his own and were picks he was forced to take, buts thats a whole differnt topic.

My point was you got guys on here making it sound like democrats are the only ones not paying their taxes and that is complete bullshit. In fact its very childish to make posts like that, when they now damn well the republicans are just as big cheats.

Yes am glad Dashcle didnt get the job and the other guy shouldnt have gotton the job either.  Heres a thought, why didnt the republicans stop the treasury secretary from getting appointed.  They could have blocked it, so why didnt they?  Go ask your fellow republicans that question.  You know why, because they all have their own dirty tax secrets also.

maybe if the "rich" didnt pay a disproportionate amount of taxes they wouldnt feel the need to cheat.

Am all for the flat tax, then all these rich people and corporations wont be able to use all the loopholes they use to pay next to nothing in taxes.

In fact am for the consumption tax, that way everybody gets taxed the same based on what you use.

.What are you people talking about? Firstly Snuke your thread is why dont Democrats pay their taxes( not prominent Democrats) pay their taxes. My answer was that Democrats and liberals do pay their taxes but we dont bitch about them as much.I swear that the Neo-Cons in here unilatally support the entire tax base in this country just by reading the posts in this thread and therein lies my argument about the Neo-Con whining . I have never seen a cheaper bunch of curmudgeons since Mr Potter ruled Bedford Falls.
         More importantly however is that the Potter Party falls absolutely silent when it comes to the topic of corporations doing business in this country.Not a word in protest from you fellows about the fact that 2/3 's of these corps pay NO taxes at all.A conservative estimate would be that these thieves collectively evade 200 million dollars in tax liabilties merely by establishing P.O. boxes in Bermuda, the Caymans, Martinique and other outposts for the explicit reason of not reporting income. Your favorite Neo-Con (the shooter) Cheney.s company wherein he still is the beneficiary of profit sharing resulting from no bid Iraqi contracts has by themselves avoided 50 million in income and payroll taxes. Yet no outrage at Halliburton KBR or Blackwater who to make matters worse were being paid by the U.S. government.
          Yes Daschle,Geithner and Kilifer are suspect and deserve reprimand or further scrutiny. But ,failure to disclose nanny income or underreporting free limo services etc, pales by comparison to the grand theft that has gone on before this year.
          Lastly , Apache you make it sound like there is some giant giveaway program these days to the unemployed. You sound like my brother-in-law who did nothing but whine about unemployment compensation when he was knocking down over triple figures as a regional rep in the mortgage business for Bear Sterns. He got axed last fall and guess where he is the first of every month now. His 401K lost nearly a 1/2 mill and he doesnt whine like he used to. At his age bracket it is unlikely he will ever obtain another job earning anywhere near what he made before. But those giant welfare state giveaways will let him and others live off the fat of the land, if you like food stamps, link programs,Senior citizens discounts and S.S. Oh I forgot how he used to be an advocate of privatizing S.S. when he didnt need it.Funny, he hasnt said much about that lately. 

Hugo, once again your post is outstanding  These guys just dont get it and cry about the wrong things.  This country is getting fleeced by the corporate crooks not paying their taxes, yet these guys dont say one word about that.

Sorry about your brother in law losing his job, but hes exactly what i have been talking about for months and months.  People sit back and knock all these govt programs when they have jobs and dont need them, but as soon as they lose their jobs they become masters at finding all the giveaways.  I have said this about alot of the guys on this site, not understanding this until they actually lose their job, to some overseas worker willing to do it for a 5 bucks a day.  Then watch how fast they start whinning.

Guys around here can learn alot from your posts, thats for sure.
