Armed ‘Posse’ Patrols' begins protecting schools....

Ellwood City,Pennsylvania — Armed security guards will patrol the halls of Ellwood City Area schools..

Ellwood City Police Chief Mark Romutis, a former SWAT team commander in Pittsburgh, about holding drills for local police officers in the school after hours. The district’s next in-service teacher training day will be devoted to crisis drills, including procedures for a school lockdown.

 Ellwood City is following the recommendation by National Rifle Association Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre, who has called for armed guards in all of the nation’s schools.
