Speaker Mike Johnson derided the bipartisan Senate plan (passed unanimously!) - which would fund TSA - as "a joke" and said the House will not take up the Senate's bill.....extending the shutdown!

• Shutdown likely to continue: Speaker Mike Johnson flatly rejected a UNANIMOUSLY-passed bipartisan Senatebill that would have largely funded the Department of Homeland Security, saying the House GOP will advance its own plan fully funding all of DHS.

Democrats, who are holding out for reasonable immigration enforcement reforms, have said that’s a non-starter, meaning the DHS shutdown will likely extend further.

  After rejecting a bipartisan, unanimous Senate-passed bill, House Republicans [led by a trump-worshipping asshole] are racing toward a vote on their own funding proposal.

But Senate Democrats say the flawed House GOP plan is a non-starter.

**Meaning, because the House republicans rejected a UNANIMOUS bill passed by the Senate, the DHS shutdown will likely extend further, as the GOP continue their mindless dysfunction. 

Make no mistake, the republicans are indeed the ones causing this.....AGAIN!

So far, unanimous senate bill is the closest to a bipartisan solution.  Similar to what democrats asked for weeks ago.  Separate funding of TSA and others except for ICE and CBP.  Finally, Trump agrees to fund TSA after delay to make people suffer in order to push his demands for unnecessary SAVE act and continued ICE brutality.  Problem is that there is no incentive for republicans to compromise because ICE is over funded by their big ugly bill which cuts government spending to give tax cuts to the rich.

So gay people should be shipped, immigrants should be shipped, people voting for Democrats should be shipped, people that don't protect pedophiles etc., etc. — I think at some point it would be an easier solution for you if you just left. I don't personally know a country that would be happy to host you off the top of my head — but thought I would throw the idea out there because, with your intellect in mind, I am not sure it is a possible solution that has occurred to you?

Precisely.  Republicans caused this, and after Mike Johnson REJECTED the unanimous bill from the senate, it is once again the REPUBLICANS who continue the problem...

Thankfully, the intelligent people, not just here but around the globe, do understand that fact...
