I've seen the commercials for it. Anyone a member of this? Looks like they skate around the rules cause you are not "gambling"? Your $20 a month is membership money? Can you guys shed some light on this?

I bought the yearly subscription for Club WPT. It is fully legit since it's legal under the "sweepstakes' laws. I have personally won two cash game tournaments and was easily able to cash out. It's mainly holdem um, but they have small cash game tournaments for pot limit omaha and 7 card stud.
Your membership actually pays for Bluff and World Poker Tour magazines (digital copies).

i was a member of club wpt, i won some cash, however if you plan on winning cash this site it NOT for you... i only used this site as practice sessions, but when the laws changed and poker was banned this site was flooded with new players, and it sucked... nothing like playing 2500 players and whooping that azz all for $20...

Yup, that is true. But I have played many tournaments where there aren't so many donks.
I have recently downloaded Full Tilt and have played on their "Play Money" software--great stuff.
Sounds like hours and hours of fun. There's nothing like accumulating a mound of phony chips, and building up a phony bankroll for some phony confidence.

One minute of my time is worth MORE than ANY amount of PLAY money chips. That being stated, I am in agreement as far as NOT depositing money in any of these sleazy internet poker sites. But at least find one that allows US players and offers the occasional freeroll. That way, you can actually turn your time into a few extra coins if you catch a good run of cards.
And once the site starts reaming you with a multitude of bad beats, at least it cost you nothing more than your time.
