      It was b/c of THIS:

playersonly69: i am going to fold here so he doesnt make it

    1. TT always looking out for others. You've got to respect that.\

he raised 2400 with almost 22 k in chips and then for 1400 more folded to keep the other guy in the tourney.

        1. At the palm beach kennel club they would kick him out of the tourney. I was at a tourney the other day and the guy had the nuts and he didnt raise and someone called him out on it. They pulled the director over and gave him 2 round penality.

          1. doesnt matter what his whole cards were, you don't raise that and then fold for 1 k more with 21 k in chips and then say your folding to keep that player in

            1. John, anyone with half a brain calls there with 22k chips behind them in that situation for 1000 chips more, ANYONE........With ANY 2 cards

And then he said in chat he folded just because ttwarrior was next in line for the big blind and didn't want him to advance

If that is fine with SBR, to play bad on purpose to screw over others you don't like than that's what it is.....But to suggest that PO just played the hand poorly is dead wrong
              Anyone else here?

    1. what does it matter that your hand was 5 7 offsuit???

Not only that, he is admitting to colluding

You raised with almost 22 k in chips, he went all in for little over 1 k more and you folded

      1.  I restate what I said from the beginning: What PO did here was indeed bullshit and wrong on a number of levels; anyone thinking that doing what PO did* would not get you consequences of some sort at Full Tilt, Pokerstars, etc then, well, you're clueless... as PO's play affected EVERYONE in the tournament. If you don't understand that, well, I could explain it to you but I'd rather not and just suggest you edify/educate yourself.

Consequently, make no mistake... a site like Pokerstars would address it.
        (the actual consequence is debatable)

*(clear evidence of poker action coupled with stated chat reason)

    1. what does it matter that your hand was 5 7 offsuit???

Not only that, he is admitting to colluding

You raised with almost 22 k in chips, he went all in for little over 1 k more and you folded

      Simple stuff folks

    1. well i do have one piece of advice that i have learned from this tradegy. First of all, we really didnt think that the storm was coming for us on thursday morning when we left for our little "vacation" as we thought that we were having. The storm was not supposed to do more than maybe 75 mile per hour winds. So we packed up alot of uninsured medical equipment and a few clothes and left in 4 cars. We luckily i did bring my sons playstation 2 and 20 games as well as maybe 15 dvd's of our 50 or so that we had. Then since my son would want to watch his own shows in the hotel, we packed a 20 inch tv and vcr in the car as well.

The playstation, tv and vcr idea has been great since i also packed a splitter and extra cables to split the hotel cable. First of all, it helped our sanity, then it at least kept $1000 worth of my electronics out of harms way. And we managed to bring 10 of our classic guitars with us since they would be stolen first.

But had we known that the storm would make a direct hit, then we would have brought 4 more cars with us packed with stuff. We left 2 cars at my house and 2 cars at another house. Well my mother in laws car is totally destroyed by the carport roof. She can buy her own new car for not wanting to drive out of town. But of course my other car has a tree on top of it.

We are not sure about our other house 10 minutes away at higher sea level, but hopefully it made it out ok.

The advice from me would be to pack your car to the absolute fullest and bring every car that you can full. We brought 4 cars, but we didnt even fill them up.

Now i have to buy all new clothes etc. I even left our pets at the house, but not too worried about that, or at least until my son asks about them in a few weeks!

Well of course i dont have a personal computer now. I will buy one later this month hopefully, but it may take 6 months to get any insurance money and not everything was insured of course.

Well, at least we are alive.

By the way, geraldo rivera doesnt know shit about what he is talking about on fox tonight. He has made many mistakes and many, many more people stayed behind in the city than he thinks. I would estimate that at least 2,000 people stayed and they are probably looting the hell out of the city right now.

Well the worst thing is that our practice will be virtually shut down for along time as well. So no house and no money coming in for a while.

Then to just kick me in the ass, my local poker room is under water with possibly no chance for repair!

      1. no clue what anyone is talking about with the editing of the thread, but i can tell you this....when i met po69 at the bash, i can say that i have never met a creepier person in my life. to top it all off, he claims to have killed a few people in mexico while being a doctor. The worst part about that is that he said something along the lines of, "who cares, it was an accident." not sure if he is lying about that or not, but imo this guy just wreaked of being a scumbag. Have no idea about his prior history here, but this guy is no good. Shady as they come.

i didnt kill anyone. 2 patients may have died under my care from post surgical complications. Killed and died are two totally different things!! I wasnt the only doctor who was there and in mexico the surgical areas are not as sterile as they are here in the us. Even here in the us, patients die from nosocomial infections. It can happen and it did.

in one case, 2 sponges were left inside a patient. We are supposed to count those as physicians, but we always take them out and announce the count to a presiding nurse who is responsible for the final count. Well, not sure what happened, but the nurse gave us the correct count, but it was obviously incorrect. Of course i wouldnt expect 99% of the posters to understand such things in depth, so that is all that i will say on the matter.

    1. f course it varies by casino the penalty. hes INTENTIONALLY KNOWINGLY helping another player aka collusion. him screwing ttwarrior doesnt matter persay, its the fact that hes dumping chips to a short stack which makes it collusion. a guy got banned for a whole month in a casino i frequent for doing this. similar situation close to the money he raised fold most of his chips blind vs blind against a guy who he showed up with. every other player who was still in the tournament was affected by this.

you are definitely looking at the situation backwards. thats why i said playersonly could plead ignorance if he didnt open his mouth. novice players fold hands when they are pot committed all the time

      1. All I'm saying is that by po69 admitting that he is folding ONLY BECAUSE he doesn't wanna see ttwarrior advance (the next big blind and short stack) he is essentially chip dumping to the other short stack, whether in cahoots or not.....This screws over other players as well.

I get guys can play however they want, but that's not entirely true considering there are chip dumping and collusion rules......and this is a form of chip dumping when he admits that he folded for reasons other than skill or strategy

        1. Shut the **** up already titywarrior!

No one was colluding, no one chip dumped! I have the right to either raise, call or fold IN EVERY DECISION!!!

Maybe if you wouldnt have made your damn POKER PLAYERS THAT I HATE threads, then people wouldnt do shit like this to you.

NO POKER ROOM IN WORLD would kick me out for even a day. I had 5-7 offsuit and I didnt want to show the table that I was raising with shit like that 80% of the time. The chips in the pot were not worth having to call 1200 more chips and having to show what i had been raising with. I didnt tell ANYONE at that time that I had 5-7 offsuit, but the other player said that he had pocket 9's anyway.

Maybe you can be such an asshole around this forum titywarrior! Get a life and STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AND TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR MISERABLE LIFE! Trust me that the world is passing you by internet warrior!
          1. playersonly69: i just dont want titywarrior making the final table
playersonly69: i am going to fold here so he doesnt make it
            1. what i dont understand is why people are arguing about what the cards were? as if that makes a difference. people have no clue about pot odds apparently. even if there were no antes and you could put the other guy on exactly aa, its a call. you'd be getting like 5.4:1 pot odds as a 4.8:1 underdog

so please stop with the "he knew he was beat and didn't want to show 7high"

that argument is non existent here.

like i said, about like running a stop sign in this scenario. no big deal really, but sbr is wrong to think its not against the rules.

              1. Did not read every page but it seems like only a few people here understand math, poker, EV, ect.....
PO69 did exactly what he said he was doing in the chat. There is no way he folds there for any other reason than to **** over the other player.
Anybody that says maybe he didn't want to show that he was raising with rags needs to stop playing poker. Everyone has a table image and you adjust it accordingly. If you think it's bad that other players see you raised with rags....STOP PLAYING POKER! Being a big stack with over 20K behind and looking at 1180 to win 7830 with the action closed.......
                This thread is so dumb
I WOULD CALL HOLDING JUST ONE CARD.... A DUECE. I think PO is a decent player and would do the same, If he says different he's lying.

                C'MON MANNNNN!

"The storm was not supposed to do more than maybe 75 mile per hour winds."

Out of this whole mess of a post this is what bothered me most.  Katrina was one of the most well forecaster Major hurricanes in U.S. history.  5 days out they were predicting a strong CAT 4 and possibly a CAT 5 making landfall on the northern Gulf coast.  3 days out they predicted New Orleans would have a high chance of a direct hit.  It was Lazy people and those with the "it will never happen to me" mentality that stayed behind (Also those who were poor and had no means of escaping, but doesn't include this bozo).  And guess who's tax dollars and raised insurance premiums went to pay for those complacent people?    The rest of America.

    obviously it looks like colluding...

obviously it's a horrible fold barring extenuating circumstances...

obviously his quote in the box pretty much confirmed that...

That being said, there is no such thing as 100% of the time.

-A player could get sheepish and incorrectly folds to save face from a horrible starting hand that he opened with. (In this case, no punishment or comments are needed...he was playing straight up and his mistake is fair game)

-A highly aggressive chip leader's play that's incorrectly valued the opportunity to push players around due to ICM implications could've decided he'll keep the guy around. That the 12-33- potentially 50% (22) chance he had of winning a pot of X was worth less then the free chips (X+y) he would accumulate by continuing to open and stealing blinds and antes. (In this case, no punishment or comments are needed...he was playing straight up and his mistake is fair game)

He could've mis-clicked and is trying to save face by saying he didn't want the guy to advance...which sounds stupid of course but some guys are both liars and idiots. (In which case, no punishment or comments are needed...he was playing straight up and his mistake is fair game)

But when you're accusing someone of colluding online. You make your case and the server starts evaluating his play and most likely continues to let him play until they notice an emerging pattern. Generally nobody will ever get banned for a first offense like this. Even in more egregious situations like Satty bubbles.

I promise you that he wouldn't get kicked out of the Kennel Club or Hard Rock or Isle or any other poker room in Florida. Nor any north-east poker room. They all have the same policies in this situation and a first offense would never mean a ban or surrendering your chips in a tournament.
