I’m not going to the politics route but I will say Covid isn’t a joke.
Most people have little/no symptoms but others get Hit hard. The problem is it’s unpredictable.
It affects the elderly the most but there are people in there early 20s on ventilators also.
Hospitals are at damn near max capacity with more and more people coming everyday. 1-2 weeks after thanksgiving is going to be a nightmare.
My family is currently dealing with a Covid outbreak. My mother in law lives with us and she got sick first. Started with a cough/fever and ended up in the hospital twice and spent a total of 7 days there (pneumonia caused by Covid). Then my wife got sick but she had mild symptoms although the fatigue was tough.
I took my daughters out of the house to quarantine and get away from the craziness. My 8 year old ended up testing positive and my youngest was negative. I’m waiting for my test results.
My 8 year old had a fever for a couple days but that was it. My youngest and I have had no symptoms.
we haven’t been home in almost 2 weeks.
It didn’t have to be this bad but now it’s out of control.

Double Up--It's a sad day for America. No body likes to loose(just like gambling) . But to cheat and have 2 sets of rules too win isn't anything to be proud of. If you honestly believe with a clear conscience you are right, than got help us all. Trump has done more for the USA than whether you like him or not than any other president.

I don't why I'm wasting my time posting in a gambling forum, penalty box no less!
First of all, COVID-19 IS real, affects some much worse than others, and I had it. Lasted about 8 days, three of which I had very tight chest and pain in my heart area. Scary but I got over it, as did my older sister with immune disorder. Lasting effects? Time will tell. Pretty certain it went right through my mask. Maybe the "viral load" was reduced by that mask, don't know. Have no problem wearing it. Wearing a mask and social distancing may help, 10,20,30% of the time? NOT going to prevent it.
LOCKDOWNS, do they work? NOT the way they are implemented, IMO.

I love those who say Trump has killed over 200,000 Americans!! Never mind that each state had total control to combat the COVID and NONE succeeded in stopping it. They did play the "look what we did and now it's under control game". Liking it to performing a rain dance and randomly it rains. See, the dance worked. Then when the virus returns it's "You people let your guard down!" Yeah right!!

How did the virus infect North America? Evidence appears to show that travelers from abroad brought it with them. New York city was hit hard as was Detroit in March. Why? Both have international airports. They got it in large doses first! So we lockdown but continue to allow air travel. WTF??? Trump shuts off flights from China but it's already in Europe, too late! Island nations like New Zealand and Australia were able to stop international air travel and have a very low rate of infection. Apparently we cannot.
If China would have taken a lesson from the Village of Eyam they would have suspended all air travel out of Wuhan, but they didn't. Instead they quarantined the city and allowed international travelers to leave. The rest of the world just sat their hands and let it happen. Oh, we won't get it. Wrong!
The only way to prevent a spread of a deadly virus is to ensure it can't move past a boundary. That did not happen. And with ALL our lockdowns air travel continues and folks cross state lines again and again. I couldn't count all the out of state license plates I saw during our spring lockdown!
Going towards political again............
Yet, as a state resident if you traveled to your vacation cottage you were violating the governor's order! Nevermind it is most likely in the woods. If you had a boat in the water it better not have a motor! If you went to Home Depot, the flooring and garden area was roped off, DANGER!! Rules that made no sense. Now Time has nominated that same Governor for person of the year! Yeah, right, keep slapping your backs!
