Scal put great info together, did an honest effort, but he doesn't make decisions for everyone else, he did all a good poster can do imo bummer that it didn't work out tonight like wiscy +2 did but it seems like he'll get bashed when he wins too so..:

I was extremely impressed with the depth of detail you put into capping this game and greatly enjoyed the read. Even with the research, gut feeling, trends, whatever it may be, it doesn't always equal a win and many don't seem to understand that. 

Makes you wonder about Furman. Solid cap brother, big school factor. Ga. tech went the same way. Stay up!

It wasn't entirely his fault. TCU penetrated very well forcing him to step up because they were blowing past the UCF defenders. He was basically forced out of position to help out, needed the rest of the team to step up (which they didn't).

It's actually not for nothing. It's a learning experience.

My greatest fear with write-ups like these is that they appear so strong, I almost always want to fade myself.

I never do. This may have taught me to do so in the future. When the evidence is beyond overwhelming, I may go the other way.

Stop putting all ur eggs in one basket? I use to do diamond plays occasionally. 2-5 I think?  Yet I win every sport every season. Play a season keep a record have fun.

Scal, great job on your writeup. I really enjoyed reading it and understanding your analysis and what you look for. It may not have ended up in a win tonight but these same angles have produced wins in the past and will certainly contribute to a win in the future.

Scal makes a pick, one pick, and does a write-up. And yes, they are long, thesis like scal write-ups but still, one pick. And win or lose he ends up with these crazy, 50 page threads of people saying, "oh, you're this" and, "he's this and that" "maybe you should do this" and blah, blah, blah. I remembered this thread from earlier in the week and seeing it now, post game and several pages long, I couldn't bring my self to even read any of it. I just skipped to the last page to let all of you know that you're "happy". You're the "happiest" people on covers. I'm gonna get my 10 cent psychiatry on like Lucy from the peanuts and say that you all need to find another way to deal with your suppressed "happiness". Scal should stop doing write-ups. That way you "happy" fan boys won't have anything to read in the hopes that it fails so you can just come through and talk sh#t like one of the mean girls. And Scals flock won't have a reason to then come through and bash said mean girls, and everybody can just mind their own matters. Do your own handicapping people and half of this covers, drama queen b.s. will go away.

Scal as an utterly logical person your comments about only making one play a night make no sense. You loved Georgia Tech so would have played it in isolation but didn't because you had another play on board. You KNOW that makes no sense. If there are two great plays on the horizon it doesn't matter if they are ten minutes or ten days apart, you play them both to win in the long run

Awesome cap still, before reading I had considered several key points that you included (UCFs Def FG %, Tacko's Size, recent form for both teams, Fisher being out, and relative size match-up) as I am still extremely new to the whole capping thing. The UCF stats that were of particular concern for me going into the game, even though I really liked them, were their horrible ball security issues(turnovers per game 305th; turnover margin 344th), offensive communication issues(assist-to-turnover ratio 328th; assists per game 314th), and how would they respond if Fall were out (turnovers forced 344th; steals per game 342nd). One area that ended up not making a difference was UCF's poor FT % (297th) as TCU's wasn't much better (243rd) and actually was worse this game. TCU's assist's per game (13) and assist-to-turnover ratio (36) number's are kind of insane considering how young they are, and fully expected them to crumble in this type of scenario. 

Some teams want to be there some don't. Cause didn't.....yeah I'm a fan but knew coaching was a bigger edge which is what we ended up seeing. Good luck onward
