Jax is at 69 pitches, so we are getting close to the bullpen handoff. I do not hate that for Tampa, but I will not bullshit you and call it a massive edge. Seattle’s bullpen has the better season ERA, 3.58 compared with Tampa Bay’s 4.33, although Tampa has the slightly better WHIP and has converted far more saves.  

So up 2-1 at home, I still like where we are, but this is not cruise territory. We need a clean bridge through the middle innings and one more fucking insurance run would change the entire feel of this game.

Cam Booser is in for Tampa. The lefty has been excellent this year with a 1.80 ERA and a 0.80 WHIP. This is a legitimate bullpen arm. I like it

like the move. Jax was nearing 70 pitches, the lead is only one, and Tampa went to a fresh lefty they trust instead of squeezing another inning out of him.

We’re grinding, but that is exactly what a manager should do in a 2-1 game. Now Booser has to justify it.
