I’m down to two games right now..Phillies and Tigers.
I’m comfortable with both, but the Detroit pitching change did throw me off a little. It looks like Suarez may only open for an inning or so before Perkins comes in, and it’s not like Suarez is some complete shutdown arm, but Detroit does not have a ton of wiggle room, so every little inch matters.
Now I’m just trying to figure out where the biggest edge is. Phillies first five is clean because it isos Luzardo over Singer. Detroit still makes sense, but I’m weighing first five vsfull game moneyline versus maybe laying the run line, especially with the opener/bulk setup changing the way that game might play early.
At this point I’m just trying to line up the cleanest angle and then fire

Luzardo’s road numbers are strong, the Phillies bats are alive, and the lineup is good enough to get after Singer early. Cincinnati is not dead, so I’m not acting like this is some layup, but Singer has been giving up traffic, hard contact, and enough damage that this feels like the spot to jump Philadelphia early.
I liked Detroit, but that pitching change spooked me. Then the more I looked into Valdez as a favorite, the more it felt like one of those spots where the warning signs were telling me to get the fuck away.
Philly first five. Let’s bring this shit in.

Singer
91.3 mph average exit velocity
That is loud contact Hitters are not just putting the ball in play they are squaring him up.
42.4% hardhit rate
Almost half the balls in play are coming off at 95+ mph
11.1% barrel rate
A double-digit barrel rate is fucken bad
Singer is throwing a ton of sinkers, Philly should hit tonight
