sorry, I've been gone a while.....  it took me some time to find this thread that has been posted on every single day since it started right up until 2 days ago.....

 

Where have all the praises of Hologram Joe's economy gone???  Where are my daily updates of how the markets are going to just keep going UP, UP, UP ???

Today the DOW is slipping but the other indexes are climbing.  Weird.

The market cap share of the 5 largest companies FAANG was about 22%

There are hedge fund managers across the Country who make BILLIONS for themselves off their clients and guess what?  

In 2021 a blind monkey could've just invested in SPY, or as you know it as the S&P500, and made 27% returns.  Blind monkey.  

Diversification had ZERO to do with it.

True, but I've watched bubbles collapse before too, so you'll forgive me if I am a little uneasy at how well the markets have done in 2021.  

Still, I am very well diversified in stocks, bonds, and gold.   Admittedly I am fortunate.   I sold my tourism business for a healthy return in 2019.

Just followed my business model, to build the business up to where I am earning  $$$  ROI, then sell at a lucrative profit.

But yeah I got lucky with the timing.  Another 6-7 months holding on to it and I would've been sunk.

A lot of very hard working people weren't so lucky.   Many lost everything in 2020.   The liberal half of me feels bad for those folks big time.
