For what it's worth, a friend who watched the North Texas/Idaho game and since he knew I had money on the Mean Green, called me a few times during the game updating me. The stats do not bear out just how awful Idaho was.

For those worried about the spread, anything under 30 is a bargain.

idaho is so bad...they are not going to win more than 1 game this year.

nice work chief!  your play on FSU was one of the earlier that I saw and tweeked my interest in the game.   Also, you had made some comments on NW.   When I did the research I liked both.   I look forward to working with you the rest of the season to continue our success.  I know week 1 and month 1 are easier than later, but let's build up the bank up the bank roll now, and get sharper as the season goes on so we can effectively complete with the linesmakers in November!

Jimmy. I will play Indiana overs until they prove otherwise. They look explosive. Very athletic. Fast. Navy should have some success THROWING the ball vs Iu... I see a 42-32 type score.

IU v Navy- over - very interesting.   I could see a 42 to 28 type matchup with IU on top.   I saw on the BIG 10 network that IU has been preparing for Navy since the start of camp.   IU just does not have the athletes on D nor the discipline to stop Navy.  And I think IU will be able to score on Navy.     Please keep the thoughts on this matter coming.   I need to do more research.   Thanks.

Temple vs Houston under 67 has now become a play. Temple can't kick FGs and cannot convert on 3rd down. Their pass game vs ND was much improved, BUT they cannot sustain drives. Houston meanwhile played to a 27-6 HT score with southern and it was fueled by the running game (50 rush attempts)

Temple showed a bend but dont break defense against ND and really played well in the 2H.

Both teams were penalized highly. Owls 5/40 and Houston 14/126. Those penalties stall drives.

This looks like an over on paper due to all the yards temple gave up (524) and all the yds Houston achieved 627, 62 pts.

But what I think you will find is alot of stalled drives and missed temple FGs...

Houston wins here. Ill name the score 33-18. The 67 should not come into play.

Here we go again with the FBS/FCS nonsense...

Eastern Washington (and the other elite FCS teams) are equal to or better than approximately half of the FBS.

Do not overreact to that loss. EWU is a very good team with tons of experienced talent. Look at them like a boise state who knocked off an fbs team and are gonna go on to dominate their own division now. Hawaii would get waxed by EWU as well, so would USC. In fact they would beat a lot of teams in the FBS. Oregon State will be focused on righting the ship after the bad opener and getting their season back on track.

I play quite a few totals on the academy teams, and I usually do so fairly successfully.  The first thing I look for on a weekly schedule is academy teams, and then look at how much experience the opponent has playing against the triple option, and how much preparation time they have.  That usually allows me to come up with a pretty good idea of how many points the academies will score.

The problem with taking academy team OVERS is that each team will usually only get about 8-9 possessions per game.  That means when you bet OVER 65 you'll need a touchdown to be scored on roughly about 60% of the offensive possessions, so it's usually a tight proposition.

Last season each team only had 9 offensive possessions a piece, and those numbers were skewed a slightly because Coffmen threw 2 pickles - one of which was returned for a TD - which of course is fabulous if you're betting the OVER.  Just not sure if a score like that is cappable.

Other than last season, Indiana has no other experience defending the triple option.  This is Navy's opener, so one would think they'd have a pretty good shot to move the ball effectively, and hopefully pick up a quick score or two.
