The problem with betting early in the season:In no other professional do the conditions of the regular season vary from the exhibition season as much as they do in baseball.
Teams go from playing mostly day games to mostly night games,there are no plane trips,time changes,double and triple decker stadiums,series instead of one shot affairs,playing the entire game,playing against known quantities,etc.

ah so thats the trouble? and you dont think professional athletes who have played this sport all of their lives kinda know this, kinda prepare for this? lol
Ole Gekko here, he just isnt any good. No excuse for him aside that he opens his eyes everyday and kinda blows at life. But hey hes been quiet lately while he continues losing so I'll try to do the same

Gekko has made about 80 picks so far and you are comfortable saying that "he just isn't any good"???? That is an extremely small sample size to make that determination and kind of sheds some light on either your bias towards him or your ignorance about sports betting. Either way, your personal attacks toward Gekko seem unreasonable to me.On the other hand, I personally don't think Gekko will turn this thing around either, but I will wait and see before I flat out say he can't win. IMO, the valid criticisms against Gekko are that he plays too many games, too much chalk, and most importantly normally does not give reasoning behind his picks. It appears that he is just making rash decisions without a full analysis of each game he plays. For gekko's sake, I certainly hope I am wrong on all of this.
That all said, the guy has been consistent posting his picks and grading them and showing his total even though he is losing. Give him until at least 300 picks before you determine he can't win.

I encourage you to think about if an inverse performance has occurred and WST had a winning record that you have profited from. I feel you would enjoy that he is posting his picks and wish that he continues. You might even act like a friend.
Maybe, if you faded him and were unprofitable, then there would be some sort of reason for all the hate. If you have done well off of his misfortune, why would you tempt him to discontinue? You're actions are suspect, and while I'm not saying you live with your mom, I hope you can consider supporting others and not be a complete ball breaker. I don't think you would appreciate it if someone trolled you as much as you have done.
It's because some of these people are sportsbook employees that don't want players to have an edge fading or going with someone's picks,,,,,, if you're doing well going with someone's picks or fading someone's picks you're going to quietly follow along., you would never bash,,,,,,,, now use some common sense and tell me who would try to run off a good picker or a terrible picker??? that's right, the sportsbooks!

Only liked one game on the card. I will increase my units just a little for the game tonight. Now the games are settling in a little bit, it's easier to pick and choose spots. I don't bet 10 games a day the entire season. I try to get lucky early and this year the favs were who I liked. Last season I did well with the same attack plan, sometimes it doesn't always work. But I know how to make money in MLB, only a few good days and I will be showing you all how it's done!

I've really been enjoying myself here. Played a round of golf today and then hung out at Red Rock for a little while to put my baseball ticket in. Met a really cute chick working at the steakhouse inside and she was from NY as well. Hopefully she hits me up! I gave her my business card - She was gorgeous!
Anyways, tomorrow we are getting up to 50MPH winds so that sounds like an ONLINE Poker day for me. I finished 3rd in last night's $2K GTD for $420. $10 buy in so not too shabby. This lifestyle is amazing, just playing poker ONLINE I could earn a living here. I'm not a poker pro by any means but I do turn a profit and love to play.
That's why I am going to MAKE IT out here. I came here to enjoy LIFE and MYSELF. I'm not CollegeGambler who dropped his career to blow his life savings on a few football games while being drunk/high 24/7 while banging cougars and strippers.
Very different my approach.....
