Honest question and not trying to be racist: Why do GM's draft black QB's to run the team?

It's not about race, man, it's about athletic ability. Black QB's (because they are often gifted athletes) seem to rely on their athletic ability over and against their intellect (which can work against them). That's not to say all black QB's do this (for example, Russell Wilson is very cerebral), nor is it to say that there are not physically gifted white QB's who don't do the same thing (i.e., rely on their athleticism and arm strength instead of using their wiles and intellect). Just look at Cutler or Romo or even a Dan Marino (with his quick release). These guys were/are not the most disciplined guys, and I think some of that has to do with the fact that they can do things with their arms/legs that most can't do.

If good for a few years means damn near beating the "Greatest Show on Turf" in the Super Bowl, winning an MVP, constanty playing injured including with a broken sternum, keeping up with the good Peyton Manning in the division, playing his butt off for a complete d!ck in Bud Adams, and moving an inept franchise out of Houston and taking them to said Super Bowl then yeah, he was good for a few years.

Calm down, I didn't say anyone having those views are automatically racists. People could have well-intentions yet misguided. It seems you are the one that get bent out of sharp because as usual, you only want to hear what you want to hear. I don't believe one race is more intelligent or born more equipped to play the position. The QB situation has everything to do with socioeconomic issues.

Russell Wilson is BLACK. I dont care if he's mixed. If a pig pulls him over he is considered a n igger. Period. And he's a champion. To say a black person cant lead a team is BS. Donovan McNabb should have been a champ. He was one of the best QBs Eagles ever had.

For every black QB, there are nine Kevin Kolbs and one Steve Young. Still mad about betting on the Oakland A's, I take it. Must be tough to be an A's fan, considering their team is a perennial disappointment.

Black, green, white, blue, orange or red it doesn't matter.  Running QB's in the NFL will always have a tough time winning year in and out and winning Super Bowls.  The NFL is ideal for the pocket passer.  The game is to fast for a running QB.  They get the crap beat out of them.
