    I enjoy conversation, about topics and content not about DNC vs GOP, I like hearing about issues and details and differences of opinion and deep conversation but I am not interested in generalizing about groups of people and making some as lesser or undeserving versus another.

    So where was I crying about an insult? You tried to use a comment I made against me (as usual) so I correctly directed you to the cause of the reply. Look above at some of your GOP friends and how all of you cannot stop from making personal directed digs at me versus sticking to content and topics.

    I'll debate and discuss all day long, I am not interested in your liberal/DNC/BLM/MeToo blame reactionary crap, things are never one sided and attacking groups that your party attacks is also amateur and a waste of time.

    @Doja45

    Americans are gluttonous, we are...so sorry that it insults you but people are that way and especially here. That is not a GOP dig, that is a comment about human nature.

    Where did I attack truck drivers?

    I question partisan generalizing and pitting people against each other, I also question people complaining about gas prices (not truck drivers by profession) when there are other choices to be made. Ive changed consumption with higher prices, no question about it...I shop differently, I drive differently, I choose differently and it would benefit others if we all tried to do so.

    "...but I am not interested in generalizing about groups of people..."

     "Drain the swamp is a catch phrase for stupid narrow thinking people and that is why it worked for Trump and most of his followers."

    "you eat it because you are biased, angry and lacking intelligence to see how you are being played."

    " if the goal is to protect those good ole middle class gun toting citizens"

    @UNIMAN

     Great catch...the problem is I am actually addressing the problem with my reply.

    Drain the swamp IS a catch phrase, created by your political group and forwarded as the Trump narrative it is meant to divide and anger people, this IS my point. Thank you!

    Lacking intelligence...that is suggesting that people BLINDLY follow political marketing agendas, not thinking for themselves. This comes due to the influence of political marketing and people are not thinking for themselves. These marketing objectives divide and destroy, they put people against each other. That is my point and thank you for pointing it out.

    Good Ole middle class gun toting citizens...lets use context again, you do not use context. That comment was about how political groups divide citizens against each other, the approach is to gain favor from gun holders and persuade them to vote GOP not to protect their interests...your political party wants to incite, divide, anger and get YOU to the polls so they can forward their power centered money grab not to actually help you.

    Massive fail...I am not insulting people, I am saying people are not thinking of others and investigating past what they read on social media or partisan blogs and marketing material. These attempts divide and destroy so people will vote a certain way, the issue is not resolved, the public is not any safer or happier or better off..the only real impact is one party gets to decide where money and power goes. You are fodder to them..

    Wake up!

    Wake up!

    It's not a " great catch" it is what I see. Last time I did something like that I added simple commentary and it landed me in the PB.

    IMO, no political party in my lifetime has divided Americans more than the Democratic Party, along with MSM, has in the last several years and continues to.

    @UNIMAN

    of course that is your response, your party makes you feel like the other party is the divider...that is the objective, to make you a blind party follower and to group people as you and many of your pals here do. You label people as DEM or LIB or progressive or any other number of names and labels, that is the narrative and you follow it perfectly. You are the exact kind of participant to the marketing scheme your party uses and it works over and over and over, both parties do it.

    If you were to ask anyone who has a strong partisan mindset they would answer as you did in either direction, that some other faceless group of people are dividing this country and THEIR wants and pursuits and agendas, but it isnt their agenda, nor is it yours. Your party leads you by the nose, the other party does the same. It works and it has ruined your objectivity. You can hardly contain yourself to resort to insults and generalizations for some group that you disagree with. They won and you lost. Anyone who plays into the sucker hand has lost on either side.

    My posts on this site prove you all so wrong. I have no stance on abortion, up to the woman in my mind and I have posted that. And ban assault rifles, no skin off my neck, never will own one. Many republican stances I will disagree with. I have never blindly followed. And I try hard as to hell to refrain from name calling, so childish.

    You have this false belief that someone who thinks different than you is some kind of blind follower, it's your way of reassuring yourself, I believe. Seems I remember blind followers booing the hell out of Trump when he said the vaccine is good. Not so blind that day  Hmmmm.

    I mentioned following the law in earlier post and it appeared to be skipped over, so let me repeat.

    Allowing and condoning the 2020 riots, and yes they were riots, was wrong. Calling voting reform laws Jim Crow 2.0 was creating division. Obama's speech at Lewis' funeral was creating division. Everyday I check Yahoo News and everyday there is at least one article about someone somewhere screaming racial insults. Purposely throwing fuel on the fire of division.

    Allowing and condoning protesters at Supreme Court Justices private residence unbelievable!!! Allowing illegal mass migration unbelievable. Calling Jan 6th an insurrection rediculous, over top political stunt. Dismissing the only person killed that day, a travesty. Was Jan 6th wrong, hell ya, just as wrong as the attack in 2011 at Wisconsin's Capitol, the one where Pelosi said " I am one with the mob."

    In post #82 you said I need to focus on the legal sub-humans, although the term " sub-human a bit harsh, I think I found them. an_eek2

     Re-read that post I made about sub-human. Read what I said, why I said it then you will see that I am not calling anyone sub-human I am saying the political marketing ploy of the GOP turns people against each other and in this case its similar to a caste system where illegals are seen as lesser, almost sub-human because the GOP depicts illegals as murderers, drug dealers and people of low value..its pretty easy where I live to see exactly how the GOP portrays the border and illegals, I cannot avoid it the media and campaign garbage never ends here...the GOP conservative candidates hit the illegal card every single time and border security every single time and yet why focus on this and why make people in fear of others and hate and divide in such a horrible way when even if we were 100% isolated does that rid the country of all the bad parts and then we can all be middle class friends forever? No...it addresses next to nothing and changes nothing but it gets butz to the voter booth and it does portray one group of faceless people almost as sub-human and denying that is just silly.

    Following the talking points and marketing ploys of a political party means the game is over and you have lost...being open and willing to consider all sides and think of people not blind policy is the way to understand and maybe make better decisions and stop the divide from continuing.

    Fentanyl is smuggled across the U.S.-Mexico border in packages, vehicles, and on persons, the report says. Because the drug is so powerful, “It is difficult to interdict given that just a small physical amount of this potent drug is enough to satisfy U.S. demand, making it highly profitable for traffickers and dealers,” the report says.

    Provisional data from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate there were an estimated 107,622 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2021

    Why focus on this?

    Nothing to see here, let’s focus on guns and taking rights away from law abiding citizens.

    Let’s not talk about Joe Biden’s proxy war that has wreaked havoc on oil and food prices, let’s talk about how this is an opportunity for Americans to downsize their cars and move towards alternative energies.

    You know what I see? I see what I deem responsible people pointing out that the overwhelming people entering our southern border, most right after Biden elected, wearing Biden let me in tee shirts, have spread our border patrol so thin that criminals are taking advantage, not that all illegals are deemed sub-humans, that's The View and MSNBC talking about Republicans.

    Over a year ago a poster on Covers said street fentanyl was so much cheaper now that Trump was out of office. an_light

    Then a heroic border patrol agent drowned while trying to save immigrants, oh sorry, they were drug smugglers. an_light

    As his people complain, the loudest Democrat near the border gets raided by the FBI as his reelection primary looms. an_light

    This shit has to end. I don't need Republicans to tell me law and order, honor and integrity are being blown right out the window. So bad that I and millions of others are willing to hitch our carts to an egotistical big mouth.

    @UNIMAN

     Trump accomplished nothing, he never intended to. His intention was to portray illegals and the border as the worst crisis in the country and to get you and others to the voting booth and to forward the GOP directives.

    We had discussion back then with the same characters for the most part, but you were not involved that I recall, about the border and the cost, time to complete, effectiveness of a wall etc etc and the same GOP guys were on one side of the discussion and non GOP on the other. The scope of what you are thinking is a solution is too enormous for the benefit it brings and you can come down here and talk to the border patrol because that is in my state where it is one of the largest issues. Putting up a wall is not going to deter the ones you want to keep out, those people find a way no matter what the barrier is. I enjoyed the series Narcos Mexico because it showed the reality of the drug trade and the lengths to which they will go for bringing in destructive drugs. The bigger issue isnt slapping up a lousy poorly built wall (which we saw happened with Trump) but the ongoing operations required to monitor the area...THAT is the problem. Putting up a wall really does not accomplish much and even with the wall if we were 100% isolated from the horrible south illegals do you think that is the end? Would fentanyl be eliminated if we were isolated to the south?

    The GOP has whipped up the south illegals as a vote grab topic and they bring it out for display any time there is an election because it scares and angers people like you and it will persuade you and others to vote GOP, and yet nothing of great value comes from it...but hey you feel a little better when you voted how you were told and you might sleep better at night with the idea that the issue can easily be resolved with a GOP in the position, but here we are 20-30-40 yrs later pretty much in the same spot.

    hey long time person who is better served to be ignored....lol

    The border issue is a marketing ploy pulled out by politicians to get people mad and to get elected, the issue is not intended to be fixed. That is the point. As YOU know I live in an area which is the center of the issue so I am 100% aware of the nuances and reality.

    I am saying that the issue is too large and expensive to fix, the people you want out have more resources and financial incentive to get IN than we do to keep them out. Most "illegals" are not the criminal core that 100% of the fear is generated from and those people are not with means to get in so the faux wall stops the people who likely are doing the least harm while a Chinese wall would not stop the ones you want to keep out because it is too intensive of an endeavor, the wall is not really the deterrent it is monitoring and capturing and stopping whatever the attempt is, that might be climbing the wall it might be digging under or catapulting over or flying drones over or whatever the hundreds of ideas are...a wall is stupid it is waste of money and accomplishes nothing.

    You have done well to look down at the ground and walk along thus far, might be a good plan going forward?

    Nobody ever said all illegals are criminals. (Besides the fact that the act of coming in illegally is a crime) What are you talking about?

    How much money are we sending to Ukraine and what benefit will American taxpayers get in return?

    You make a list of Biden’s accomplishments and I’ll make a list of Trump’s.

    @I_Need_A_Detox

     Yes I know we are playing partisan monopoly, it is the only game you know. Biden vs Trump, DNC vs RNC, liberals vs conservatives that is the entire point Ive been making over and over.

    You lost, game over...you are a political pawn playing the game of your party, you lost already so continue with your blanket generalization about liberals and how much has been spent in Ukraine, but it is funny how for all the years that repubs are in office and the trillions spent on the military when it is your guy in the position then that does not matter, but get a liberal dem progressive etc etc in office and now we are counting how much is spent?

    Speaking of money wasted, the biggest blunder your guy did was to allow corps to bring back untaxed cash, the mega corps got a tax freebie of BILLIONS and yet any discussion about freebies for students or for the poor are met with disdain. Focus on solutions not finger pointing and stop blindly following the sewage from your party, it does not accomplish much but it does get people elected and PAC/dark money into the pockets of your party...that is a fact.

    Please stop with your partisan nonsense and try to answer the questions.

    What benefit will US taxpayers get in return for the $50 billion tax dollars sent to Ukraine?

    I support freebies for the privileged students. I think the US government should go after Universities for the fraud they’re committing and use the money to rework and lower peoples loans.

    We need to look at what’s being taught and what majors are being offered and what length of time students are required to attend to get these degrees.

    Without a complete overhaul of the system we’ll just be throwing a napkin at a wave. Hopefully you’re smart enough to understand this.

    @wallstreetcappers

      i made no mention of a wall........and it is a complex problem.....but for this administration to act as if there is no problem, which they do, is a disservice to the citizenry....yes i am aware of your estimated location, so you know these things..........i just dont agree, whether local, federal, county, whatever, i dont agree that tat only some laws should be enforced, simple really.....and for me, and most middle of the road voters who just want safety and economic prosperity, allowing illegals, by their definition, to come into this country at will puts those 2 things in peril .........simple, no matter which letter comes before any given administration, enforce our laws.....ill go back to hiding now, hope its all good for u ...............thumbs_up

     Partisan nonsense? Saying that military spending being an issue when a DNC guy is in office when it was not when yours was is actually hypocritical, where was the outrage when the previous guys from your group were ramping up military spending?

    My point isnt to nit pick at this spending that spending because NEITHER of the parties care about slowing spending, its just which group gets it, GOP causes or DNC causes?

    The spending for Ukraine was approved by congress, I am not sure we have ever stood aside and done nothing when all of our allies are in support of something, not that it makes it right but we were not the only check floating in and we were asked for much more. I still am not understanding your point about military spending, why are you concerned about military spending when every POTUS spends on military, what is it EXACTLY that bothers you that hasnt for the last 200 yrs?

    Oh and you are spot on regarding freebies for college loans, I think the higher ed system needs an overhaul and a 4 yr degree should be a 2.5-3 yr degree and let people get into the workforce or higher degrees...stop with the nonsense of high school classes being forced onto adults.

    My opinion is people should perform service for college loan reduction (Ive mentioned that here) so like the military where if you serve X yrs you can go to school, if people want to take loans then pay them back or perform public service for credits towards tuition forgiveness...its a slippery slope and people will cheat the system but its better than what we have now.

    @montepire

     You were never getting over just so you know...

    And my point was that to take care of the problem it will require more monitoring than we have the capacity to provide, and if our goal is to make the country safer and stronger I think our focus needs to be on legals as much or more than illegals...but illegals are faceless criminals that get people to vote so I wonder which gets more attention come election time?
