Former FOX News anchor, Shep Smith, to join CNBC
It is widely agreed by sources within FOX that Smith left in October
due to ongoing conflicts with "opinion hosts"
Smith was known to hold "moderate" views.

I hate all cable news networks with a passion but Tucker is actually pretty legit. I can't stand Sean Hannity. His face makes me want to punch him but Tucker is my guy. If you take all of the on-air personalities from CNN and Fox, he's probably the least biased between the two of them. I know that sounds crazy but it's true.
The newest survey - when poll bias is largely ruled out by eliminating those who profess to be Liberals and those who profess to be Conservative, and instead showing only the responses by MODERATES - is shown below...
Those with MODERATE views (the ones trump *MUST* appeal to for any real hope of winning the election) not only indicate that CNN is their #1 preferred choice, but more importantly, they prefer watching at least ONE of the the two known Liberal channels (MSNBC or CNN) far more than the lone conservative channel (FOX)...by 35% combined to only 21%
Meanwhile FOX will *always* show highest viewership for a SINGLE network simply because it is the ONLY major network for conservative, "all Democrats HATE America" and wild conspiracy-theory views ....while those who hold Liberal views are spread among multiple different networks.

I also think because it is the only major conservative cable news network. I agree that most of their content of infotainment, and based on factual evidence.
Apparently Tucker Calson is supposed to address this issue this evening, but I believe he will make only cursory mention then quickly pivot to some pro-trump or anti-democrat issue

Fox News has parted ways with a host who dismayed fellow staffers
when she came to work while visibly sick in the early days of the
coronavirus crisis. Heather Childers, who had been an early morning
host on Fox since 2012, was dumped after the incident in late March.
She was not put back on the air again — despite her public campaign
on Twitter and her pleading messages to President Trump.
This week, after sources said that Childers was no longer affiliated
with the network, a Fox spokeswoman confirmed her exit.
"Fox News and Heather Childers have parted ways. We wish her all
the best," the spokeswoman told CNN Business.
