@trainwreck66
The overreaction to the MNF games is always worth a point, especially if one team gets dismantled as happened last night.
Just after the Cowboys first drive I bet them for next week at -3.5. At halftime I bet them again for next week at -4. Right now it's -5.
This season the Dallas D has been susceptible to throws in the flat. CMC would have posed a serious problem for them on those plays ![]()

the mains is a gold mine of stupidity if you boys haven't ventured over there in a while Gold Jerry. Gold.
I just perused the NFL forum. SMH.
It's a cesspool of gloating over a winning bet, or laughing at others for losing.
I enjoy the ball breaking before a kickoff (ain't that right Bigred?) but once the games are over .....
We are all betting money and to kick someone who just lost theirs is like going to a funeral and laughing at the suit on the corpse. Unfortunately, the only way to stop it is to drag people from behind the comfort and safety of their homes and put us all in the same room.
Tis the way of the internet ![]()

So with a 3 pt HFA, the line of -5.5 is telling us the Cowboys are 2.5 pts better than the Panthers.
That's just not reality.
I like the spunk the Boys are playing with, but this one should be a grinder/sandwich spot between 2 division games.
Both defenses are worlds apart. The Panthers holding teams to 3.77 ypp.
Perhaps all the Carolina injuries make the spread somewhat reasonable?

@undermysac
Considering that Car will be without CMC, I believe there is a bigger disparity between the 2 offenses than there is between the defenses.
Tough to see the value in Carolina's stats seeing how they've played the Texans, the Jets, and the Saints in a game that Jameis pulled a Jameis. I'm not saying the Panthers D isn't good, they most def are. Certainly better than the Cowboys. Just that the difference is not insurmountable.
Panthers losing their best player last week, who accounts for much of their offense, has an effect on this line. The game last night has an effect on the line. With that said, the additions of a couple of rookies on D, a couple of key FA's on D, and mostly Dan Quinn, the Dallas defense will be respectable this year. IMO, they are a better team than the Panthers ![]()

Even I was moderately impressed with the Boys (Dak has to roll out when passing from his endzone).
McCarthy scares the sh it outta me. He is an upgrade from Red, but only marginally.

McCarthys biggest weakness is clock management (well, that and an inability to refuse dessert). When you suck at clock management, it is on display for the world to see. What he does well is delegate. He is allowing Kellen Moore and Dan Quinn to run the O and D, which is a really great decision. Some HC's have ego's that force them to "get involved", but McCarthy hasn't done that from all reports.
Since Garrett became the Giants OC, they have ranked either 30th, 31st, or 32nd in every single offensive category. Every friggin one!!!
That's hard to do ![]()
