Lots of these games aren’t one sided. Teams are remarkably even by the end of the game. Teams end up trading blows, flags swaying momentum, random playcalls, suspect errors, etc.
it feels a bit performative in a way. Football has too many variables to be ending so uniquely close most of the time. It’s interesting
They have to create drama as close to the end of tbe game as possible. Keeps ppl watching and viewership numbers high so they can keep charging crazy money for commercials
This game was so badly officiated it’s wild. And people will tell you with a straight face that the refs and Vegas are completely above board
It’s not hard to tell
Yeah, whenever you can get like +8/+10 pts on any team at a point in-game in a primetime match take the points -- refs are coming to flag football it up and make it a "show" no one wants to watch a blowout
Been cashing in on HARD on this angle -- primetime only though
If ya can't beat em... join em
I've been betting sports, especially football for over 25 years. Prior to sports betting becoming legalized everywhere, you could pretty much turn off the TV and enjoy your day when a team is dominating.
Now games are frequently decided on the last play, huge miracle comebacks happening every week.
very true, so not only is it hard to win, it’s more stress-inducing/stimulating
