The final dagger to Dairyland Greyhound Park?

I wouldn't be surpised if dog racing gets the axe altogether with all the animal activists and PITA.  Who the heck bets dogs anyways? 

MikeyP, yes I do miss Geneva Lakes Kennel Club.    I always preferred it to Dairyland.       I have actually pulled into that parking lot several times since it closed to see what it looks like.   

Interesting angle on this you brought up.      So the Potawotami eventually want to get Dairyland?      I had never thought of that before nor have I read that in the paper.  

Well at least the track won't close if that happens.   

On the flip side, if Potawotami has off track betting I won't have to drive to Kenosha to make a bet if I want to.     I hate to see all these dog tracks closing up here though.  

  No question dog racing is in trouble.   Both financially because of lack of interest and because of the animal rights groups you mentioned.   It's still in pretty good shape in certain places around the country like Florida though.   

I used to really love betting on  greyhound racing and was pretty good at it.   But I'm not into it as much anymore.  

Every state that has a dog track takes simulcasts from other dog tracks.

I think Atlantic City might simulcast them also.

And you have the online wagering of dog races also.   

For instance at PayDog.com you can bet on just about every dog track out there.

I just noticed this thread had some life being greyhound started it and just peeked inside for the first time ---where is this place ???

One thing i do know right now Iam moving in 2 weeks and not doing any vacations to the caribbean this year but was 95% set on having my ass up in Saratoga this summer and thats what iam really looking foward too, so if we can get as many of us up there iam already looking for a good spot to get a room somewhere between Albany or Lake george ---still working on this ----also need to go to Long Island this summer around the same time Toga opens while iam on my way and see the Family before a few of us drop off the earth just like my sweet sister did a few weeks ago  and need to check a few things out in new york so ,     count on me driving up this july august for sure unless something bad happens i will be up there for sure
