The negativity surrounding the North Melbourne football club this week has presented an ideal opportunity for many punters to back the besieged team to raise their game & efforts in the Easter Sunday clash with the Hawks.

For me there is a gulf in class here, if you take all the off-field distractions plus that fact this 09' squad isn't quite the talent of past years then the under-valued Hawks are a must this afternoon.

P.S - ex-Hawks Robert Dickson was killed in a car accident in S.Africa yesterday. Even more incentive for the Hawks to lift & get that first win of the season.

Was thinking Roos ML, but also looking for a reason to fade myself, as I've had a shyte round.

Roos here look like the Swans last night.  A tempting dog.  And we all know what happened to the Swans...

BTW, that forward line for Hawthorn looks the mismatch, but do you think Hawthorn will get enough quality ball up there for it to make a difference?

don't get me wrong, North are a decent side & the contest will be a little tighter this week due to the injuries the Hawks currently have(Campbell, Croad, Lewis, Sewell, Osborne, Ladson & McGlynn). Yet im banking on the classy Hawthorn forward line to prevail against a moderate opponent. Gilham back for the Hawks is also a bonus.

Into the 2nd quarter & the Hawks are looking good despite loosing a few players with injuries.
