Hometown boy does O.K.

Question

Steve Orme at the SCG

Sportal

But the biggest cheer of the afternoon was reserved for Canadian Mike Pyke who entered the fray in the seventh minute to rapturous applause.
The former rugby union international showed promising signs throughout allowing Darren Jolly to push forward.

Really classy of the Sydney fans to show such warmth and acceptance. Only wish the Swans would get it in there heads to score a few more goals. Good defense, shame about the offense.

I watched a little bit of it, very promosing indeed.

What he has is raw speed as well which is going to be an asset for the Swans, could eventually play him like an Adam Goodes with more of a roving commission in the middle and then pop up forward to kick the odd goal.

I still remember that intercept try he scored against the All Blacks. Canada covered that game, they were getting +75
