Handicapping tax

Hey guys, I am curious if any handicapping service that give picks to customers are meant to pay tax or not. Is this an actual law that you pay tax, even if your not actually gambling yourself, just receive payments for your picks only. Cheers

In the US, even if you find a dollar laying on the ground you are supposed to pay taxes on it.
