Covers' ownership was originally Canadian but no longer.
Covers was a part of Tribune Media (corporate headquarters in Chicago) until they were both sold to Nexstar Media Group in 2019. Nexstar's corporate headquarters are located in Irving, Texas.
I doubt that Covers' management even knows this. More specifically they seem to act like they don't.
Going down a big rabbit hole here tracing the ownership of Covers. Amazing but so common today in finding out who owns what. I came across this address and phone number for CS Media Ltd:
The corporate office phone number for C S Media Limited (based in Dorking, UK) is +44 20 3871 8000. They can also be reached via email at office@csmedia.co.uk. Their office address is The Atrium, Curtis Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1XE.
So as a subsidiary, CS Media Ltd is not sovereign over Nexstar. I am thinking that CS manages Covers which would make sense considering their policies.
