Oakland A's ML over the Seattle Mariners. We'll take our chances on the Athletics bouncing back from last night's loss behind Jarrod Parker tonight. First of all, last night's 2-0 victory was Seattle's first against the A's in eight tries. Felix Hernandez was in top form, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 8 in 7 2/3 innings. The way we see it, Felix was being Felix, and there's not much the Oakland line-up could do about it. It also helped the Mariners, that their line-up was facing a southpaw in Brett Anderson. Tonight, the M's will be facing the right-handed Jarrod Parker. Note that in 2012, Seattle's Batting Average, On Base Percentage, and Slugging Percentage dropped off significantly when facing rightys. Meanwhile, Hisashi Iwakuma had solid numbers in 2012. He finished with a 3.16 ERA while going 9-5 overall. But most of his success was at the home field, where he had a low 2.49 ERA. On the road, Iwakuma posted a 4.20 ERA. And in his only start against Oakland, he gave up 5 runs on 6 hits, a pair of walks, and a home run in just 3 2/3 innings of work. The Oakland A's were 48-18 in their last 66 games against a right-handed starter, 40-15 in their last 55 games as home chalk, and 20-9 in their last 29 games after scoring 2 runs or less to finish the 2012 season. The Seattle Mariners were just 35-46 on the road last year, and they're 0-4 in their last 4 after scoring 2 runs or less in their last outing. We'll gladly lay the price for the home team at the Oakland Coliseum tonight.

Boston prefers a slow-paced, defensive-style for conservative Coach Claude Julian on an 18-7-2 run under the total. They are 13th in goals scored, 3rd in goals allowed with the No. 1 penalty killing unit in the league. Into town comes Ottawa, tops in the NHL in goals allowed, just 2.1 per game) and second in penalty killing, but 25th in goals scored. They comes off a 4-0 loss at home to Toronto, going 0-for-5 on the power play. The under is 23-9-9 in the Senators last 41 games. The Senators remain just one of four teams (New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild) that have yet to allow a short-handed goal this season. The under is 4-0-1 in the last 5 meetings. Play the Senators/Bruins under the total.

4-2-1 Tuesday and another nice NHL chase winner!

BRENDON DE JONGE over R Palmer (-145) (If I play this will be very small, I just wanted to keep posting these as I get them for those who are interested.)
The big man continues to put himself in position to pick up his first victory on the PGA Tour. Brendon likes to play plenty of golf, as this will be his 12th Tournament already in 2012 ( Rory has about the same number of rounds as he does tournaments). He has four Top 15 finishes to date this season, and should be able to carry over his hot play from Sunday at The Shell Houston Open. De Jonge fired a final round 66 last week to finish in a tie for 10th. Brendon ranks 5th on Tour for Total Driving and this leads to plenty of birdies. He ranks 16th on Tour for Par 5 Birdie or Better percentage (52.52%). He will not be thrown off by the wind this week as he has enjoyed success playing in breezy conditions. I attribute his success when the wind picks up to his solid ball flight and ability to be very accurate. Look for De Jonge to post a low round coming out of the gate this week and be in contention come Sunday.

Atlanta Hawk ML (this would be a GM4 if the Chase Pirate played 4 games, so I will take a shot.
A tough situational spot for New York, the second of a back to back road spot after battling rival Miami last night. This is the 9th road game over the last 14 games for the Knicks. They face an Atlanta team that is fighting for playoff positioning, battling the Celtics, Nets and Bulls for the No. 4-7 spots. The Hawks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. the Eastern Conference. This is the 3rd straight home game for the Hawks. The Hawks are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on one days rest. Play Atlanta.

Utah Jazz -2
It's hard to go against the Denver Nuggets
right now, as well as they've been playing of late. But the Jazz, in the midst
of a heated playoff run with the Lakers and Mavericks, need this win more than
ever... and they're playing at home where they are nearly
unbeatable.
It's hard to go against the best teams in the league when they are playing
in a near pick 'em game, but the Nuggets have lost three straight and 11 of
their last 14 games in Utah... a fact that's impossible to ignore.
The Jazz are even with the Lakers for the eighth and final playoff spot in
the Western Conference, and played really well in their last two games vs.
Brooklyn and Portland. Al Jefferson scored 24 and grabbed 10 boards in their
most recent win over the Blazers... who are also trying to position themselves
for the playoffs.
Utah has won each of its last five games by 10 or more points and now sit
at 28-9 at home... one of the best home records in the entire league. But these
are the Nuggets and Utah is going to have to bring their A-game if they want to
pull a 1/2 game in front of the Lakers... who used the referees (again) to beat
Dallas last night.
Denver had lost two straight, both on the road, after winning 15 in a row,
but then got back to their winning ways in their Friday game vs. Brooklyn,
109-87.
PG Ty Lawson is doubtful against the Jazz tonight and didn't play against
the Nets, missing four of the last five games the Nuggets have played in.
Too much at stake for the Jazz here tonight... they get the win by
seven.

George Mason ML
The CBI tournament started in 2008 and only once did it not go the full 3 games in the finals series. Some people say tonight's game will be fixed to make sure there is a 3rd game. I am taking George Mason to win.

We came up a half-point short when we backed George Mason in the first game of this potential three-game Championship Series, as they fell by eight points at Santa Clara as a 7.5-point underdog. A closer look at the final stats of that game reveals George Mason still played pretty well, as they finished the game with a +8 rebounding edge, including +4 in offensive rebounds, and if not for turnovers (19) and some better luck with Santa Clara's shooting (41% from beyond the arc and 25-30 at the free throw line) they might have even won that game outright. We'll take George Mason once again here, this time on their home court, and we expect a slower-paced, defensive game this time around. George Mason only allows 41% shooting on the season and with the home court edge they should be able to dictate the game pace. If they can, then Santa Clara is in trouble since their road defense isn't all that great - allowing 72 ppg away from home on the season - five points more than their overall season average. Santa Clara knows they don't "have" to win this game after taking Game One of this series, and we look for the series to be tied up after tonight!

Angle...thanks so much for keeping this thread alive, including all of your insights/analysis/picks/"angles". Job well done. 
Quick question: Will you also be posting McShady and Semper's MLB Chase plays in this thread?
If not, is there another spot that I can find those plays?
