I second that,
I reckon you could count on one hand the number of times he's actually been "in good form" since that first summer in 99' when he made his international debut.
back then he was raw, he was fast and he could hoop the ball, especially "reverse" with the older ball.
Nowadays he just looks burnt out.

Takes his bat and ball and goes home soon. Not the show stopper any more.
Only problem is WHO would replace him, excluding Clark. ( Hypothetically,of course) South Africa @ home and THE ASHES coming up. He better improve alot. They should be great series. Aussies need him firing with Johnson. What a combination.

He has got nothing these days
# He has lost his pace,his pace doesnt worry any batsmen
# He cannot swing the ball
# He practically cannot do anything with the ball apart from try and ball straight
I honestly think he first 100 odd test wickets were aesome and ever since then he has been pretty average ever since

He needs to swing the ball, yes. But give credit where credit is due. I watched that spell, and he was on the money. The way he set-up Morkel was classic fast bowling nous. I maintain he has been our best bowler since the start of the Indian tour and, whilst that doesn't say much for our fast bowling stocks atm, I'm still prepared to give credit where it's due

no question, "8 for" is never anything to sneeze at, no matter what level of the game you're talking about.
I just think there's still an enormous amount of improvement in him, given the flaws in his action.
But the way our batsmen are pissing away the advantage Johnson helped Australia earn in the first inns, he may have to bowl at both ends in the 2nd dig
