AFL Round 8 Lines & Leans

Like you said in other thread tough tough round, For me Bombers and Crows look good. The friday night game looks like a ripper id lean the Pies but 

I'm doing a write up for the round right now, quiet evening at home, enjoying some Belgian Triple ale, ABC Digital Jazz radio and watching "The Game Plan" and Footy Shows, feel like I'm lacking a flanny and a mullet

Friday Night AFL

Pies over Cats, both teams back off an interstate trip. Jolly, Thomas, Dawes and Fasolo back for Pies. Scarlett, Bartel and Stokaine back in for Cats.

Really hard game to cap, Cats have had the wood over the Pies but based on this season I think Pies are in a bit better shape, I think Pies get revenge for last years grand final, mid season when it doesn't really matter.

Pies SU or 1-39, would imagine it's a cracking Friday night game and it should be a close one. Weather forecast is bleak for Friday in Melbourne, cool overcast day with late showers expected, under 175.5 (already up on bet365) could be a play.

Roos v Port, total degen or fan game to bet on. Roos were awful last week, Port were away to Freo a bit undermanned and really had no chance to win, 40 point loss was kind of flattering, both sides should have done much better so it could have been a lot closer or a thrashing, can't really take much from it. Roos are 2-1 in the last 3 at AAMI, I think they bounce back and get up in a relatively close one.

Hawks over Dockers. It's down in Launceston, Hawks won by 116 round 21 2010. Although I only regard the stats of the last 3-4 years. Dockers beat the Saints by 1 point down there round 5, 2006, all previous games to Dockers have been losses.  Hawks played the Friday night game and were only challenged in the first quarter. Dockers off the Sunday night game. Dockers have to be on their game otherwise this could get ugly.

Hawks to cover the 29 points. A Hawks team total of 90-100 would be ripe for an over, given decent weather down in Tassie.
