Should have layed off the total in last Friday's game, was thinking it was a very silly bet about half hour after I layed it.  This is a very good spot this week for me so I'm going fairly heavy....

'History repeats' meaning that close game at Skilled last year? I doubt it would be a similar result this time round. Crows recent good form has been over weaker sides.

I will be there Friday night so I hope it will be close. Line is too close to call.

Cats under 40 could be another option.

Cats could actually lose this one, things are not all that happy down at Kadina Park and they are not travelling as well at this time of the year as in the past. Crows are ready for this one so I'm more than confident that the line is very good value as I see Geel maybe winning this one by about a goal or two...

Let's just hope that AB doesn't make it his lock of the week

They've won 9 of last 10 games and starting to get a few players back in list such as Joel Corey, Scarlett, Ottens, Steve J, Mooney in recent weeks and weeks to come?

As Ozfactor pointed out, Adelaide have not beaten much. But yes their form nonetheless is still pretty good.

cats lost to St.Kilda only in last 10 weeks, just defeated Hawks who were on 7 game winning streak and they are currently sitting on top of the ladder.  List is starting to look closer to full strength with key players returning.

You do amaze me me gman, this is a capper who can't see past his one eyed support.  Yes the Cats are not at thier best regarding the overall makeup of their side with comparison to past history on the window of opportunity, and no doubt what so ever that they are a champion side and have proved it over the years as I was just having a conversation with my brother during the week (as he is a Hawks supporter who was at the game on the weekend), and I mentioned that Geelong are doing enough to win tight games...

So again, taking a side playing interstate (even though it is Geel) with a four goal head start to the home side after the Cats played an emotional win over arch rival the Hawks where many players had good games, throw in the fact that one of their Brownlow medalist is having an average year IMO, with another one ( and best player in the comp over the 2 years by a streak) isn't happy their at the moment and with the fact that their is a huge chance he will leave at the end of the year, Geel are one extra loss on last year as at this time, have a higher price to win the premiership as at this time then in previous years, Adel flew back at 10.30pm on Sat straight after the Eagles game in WA last week in prep for this week, Crows have a greater incentive at the moment, played the Cats in a similar situation to last year...

So again I'm happy with the head start

Its not true at all. I was simply asking you to elaborate on your comment that things are not all that happy down at Kardinia park.  There is nothing wrong with making such comments, but they seem to be in a pretty good position to me although as you say not quite as great a dominant hold on the competition as in the past.

Your above post is good that you have some reason for your selection, great.  It's always nice to hear no matter which way you've gone with pick, original response however didn't make a lot of sense to me... good luck

Thanks ecoute, and gman my post above wasn't meant to offend you but simply to point out that over the years I haven't seen you pick a game against Geelong...there are simply times when you have to isolate the facts and pick a situation IMO.  I am a Bombers fan and I haven't picked a line using them in a game (I don't think I have anyway...) for one simple reason, I can't find a spot good enough for them and prob won't in the future while we have the worst coach in the league even though looking back in hindsight that last week against Melb was the best time

Miracle, I have never made a selection against Geelong over the years and I've happily said that before.  However, If i haven't been confident I have never been afraid to admit that and pass on the game.

Anyhow good that you made some cash last night.  Adelaide looked very good

Was at the game last night, boy i haven't seen the crows play that hard at the ball for a long while (at least for 4 quarters), bumper crowd as well.

Glad I laid off the Saints.  Had the finger on the trigger too.  Did a Hawks/Dogs double.

Looking for teams in both codes who have lost that motivation to play.  We aren't quite at Finals, so those in the hunt are playing massive whilst those out of the 8 start to lag.

I think we see that again in Monday Night NRL Miracle.  I know this is an AFL thread, but I wanted to give an example to the point. 

Ca't believe how bad the Saints were yesterday, or how good the Pies were....had a bad feeling when watching the Pies come out onto the ground that this was not a good choice at the time!

No matter if my selection below wins I'll still have a winning weekend, but trying to make it better after the Saints misjudgement.
